Interesting, because I just got finished tweaking his design!

(Obvious IL2026 spoilers ahead!)

Meet Simon I. Pyxis, previously feared as the Filament Station Butcher. (More below.)

I ended up completely revamping his prosthetic because it didn’t seem mechanical enough and frankly Jack’s hard work deserves more respect than that.

Simon, after the ocean attacks, is a more reserved type man, often preferring to work alone despite his “peace” being interrupted by weird dreams or nightmares most of the time.

When he isn’t alone, he’s usually with Ava, since she’s the closest thing to “friendly” that he’s got at the moment. It doesn’t help that because he’s survived near impossible circumstances and because of his eye, he’s repeatedly subjected to the whims and questions of the medical staff. This attention tends to make him uncomfortable.

He’s got a secret sweet tooth he’ll never admit to, but if he keeps yoinking from Ava’s hidden stash, he may just out himself to the ship if he isn’t careful.

Also check out @dooblybuggy on TikTok, they made the sleepy convict sketches that I used as a reference for this one. Their Simon is just as adorable too.

LifeCrew!Ava has arrived! (Iron Lung 2026 spoilers)

Captain Ava D. Cepheus, also known as the Captain King of the Stars. She runs the Silver Phoenix, the flagship of COI’s greatest remaining fleet. (More under the cut.)

As the most competent person on the ship, she was assigned to keeping this ship from exploding, whether on accident or thanks to the maintenance team’s mischief.

She’s a bright and bold woman with a knack for organizing and improvising, and she loves all life, human or inhuman, proved so when the crew stumbles upon a small cat while salvaging supplies on a ghost ship. At just the sight of the sweet little thing, she immediately began fussing over him and carefully lifting him into her arms.

When the rest of the ship saw how happy she was with him, and saw how saddened she was to find out that he would only be put in a kennel, they unanimously agreed to remain silent on her behalf about the cat living on the ship.

Realistically, she gets the least amount of sleep on the ship. She considers the fact that she gets Any a miracle, and when Simon awoke in the infirmary finally, she actually managed to get a bit extra for a while… Until Jack found out she was trying to convince him to continue helping her.

oh oh oh! !!! LetsGameItOut Josh or Grey, GrayStillPlays as evil evil maniacal hackers or ... Tech? Since there are many different forms and uses for tech. Or--- they can be defense or logistics.

I haven’t heard of LetsGameItOut before, but I watched a few videos… And I know exactly where he goes.

Meet Josh Aries, the newest crew member on the Silver Phoenix. (Details under the cut. <3)

He’s assigned to cybersecurity and ship integrity, but for the moment, he’s being trained by Danny Grus to help assist in ground control matters, given the blood ocean issues that have been… raised, let’s say.

He’s very into his work, and oftentimes forgets that there’s a world outside of him. Hadn’t even heard of the Filament Station Butcher until he saw Simon unconscious in the infirmary and the medical staff began their stories.

He adores breaking things in half, though not necessarily by understanding them. He’s a brute-forcer, for certain, and he’s not unfamiliar with the COI’s legal system for hacking into systems he really has no business in. If he wants to know something, he’ll get it.

Ethan’s been interested in getting his hands on some of Josh’s skills. Perhaps it would help Ethan’s little ol’ archive…
