Some things they don't tell you in culinary school. 1-You'll burn yourself more times than you can count. It's part of your growing process. More lessons are learned in failures than in successes. 2- The countless hours of work will take a toll on you. remember to treat yourself right when you can, and find healthy ways to let off some steam. 3- Our profession expects perfection from us every day, and consistently. Strive for it, push for it, but there will be bad days. Don't beat yourself up, tomorrow is a new day. 4- It's never a sign of failure if you have to ask for help. Find a place that will encourage your growth and allows you to ask questions. You will become a better chef and a better person because you didn't let your pride get the best of you. 5- scars are pretty badass. #lifelessonsimstilllearning #cheftochef #babystepping #illneverhaveprettyskinagainandimokaywiththat
