Productivity.
A friend of mine came to the desk today while I was working and she printed some pages. (side note: she paid with a half dollar. Awesome.) She asked me how I'm doing and I couldn't be completely honest. I had a crap night's sleep and I'm stuck in the same clothes I wore yesterday. I'm hungry and sore and frustrated about this paper that I already know I'm going to fail.
Aaaanyway....
She tried to staple her pages but our staplers were jammed. And I felt awful about that because I know she's probably even more stressed out than I am this week.
So, because I can't write this paper and I felt bad that the library's crappy staplers added to her stress I spent the last 15 minutes of my shift un-jamming the library staplers. And even though I was stabbed I felt happy that I could vindicate myself and my friend by fixing the staplers.
