“  ...  ”     the young priestess seems to lose her voice when her eyes suddenly meet kikyou's figure. she definitely didn't expect to find her in that place, and questions about the older woman's plans movements suddenly prick her head⸻making her forget, for an instant, that she and her friends got separated in the mysterious fog that fills the castle.

ephemeral seconds  (  wich seemed like an eternity  )  pass before kagome finally babbles something.     “  ... you are here too.  ”

She remained where she was, only moving to further hide herself behind the thick trunk of an old growth cypress to remain entirely out of sight, knowing that it didn’t really matter - the woman in question had managed to sense her before; it was for her own comfort, nothing more.

The lights...

They were very familiar. Almost always were they a gesture to beckon InuYasha to follow after but this time. He wasn’t around- and the soul collectors were in Sango’s company. 

There had been an underlying feeling of disdain for the dead priestess- the way she’d directly and indirectly hurt Kagome... Sango couldn’t help but be protective of her dear friend. 

So she followed them until reaching their source.
