Another Advent treat for you all! This time, a little something for the DC fans. Enjoy!
You were in the kitchen with Bruce. The charity Christmas galas you had to attend with him at this time of year were just so tiresome. You wished you never had to go at all, but you knew it was important for Bruce’s status that he attended - and that meant that you had to go, too. You had got changed out of your ridiculously fancy outfit and into your Christmas pyjamas.
You were cooking dinner and he was sitting at the table, reading the newspaper. Some article about stocks or the like. The radio was playing quietly in the corner, as it so often was. The station had been infected with all the Christmas hits. You were ever-so-slightly swaying to the drum beat, totally unconsciously. Dancing was something that you quite enjoyed, you had to admit. Though not whilst being watched by hundreds of people who would just as soon step on you than look at you. Being Bruce Wayne’s partner certainly had some interesting side effects.
Suddenly, the opening notes to your favourite Christmas song started playing; it had a slow beat, perfect for dancing. You wanted to share this romantic moment with Bruce, the love of your life.
You had been together for a few years, each one more loving than the last. To be honest, you were thinking about asking him to marry you.
So, you glided towards Bruce, keen to capture him in a dance. Bruce was a total flirt, and he wasn’t afraid to admit it either. You loved his flirtatious remarks, and especially when he called you beautiful or gorgeous or stunning. It always made your day. He could always cheer you up whenever you were down with a simple, sunny smile, and you loved him for it.
You reached your destination, stopping in front of Bruce with a grin. He was so absorbed in his newspaper that he hadn’t noticed you yet, so you held out your hand for him to grab. He looked up and met your eyes lovingly. He stood in one, fluid motion, and placed his arms around you. You had never felt safer. Slowly, the two of you began to sway to the beat, and once again caught each other’s gaze; completely full of love.
The song seemed to last forever, and you felt the happiest you had felt in a while. With him, nothing else mattered, only the two of you. You heard the quietest of creaks and ever-so-gentle footsteps, and Alfred appeared at the door, unbeknownst to you. He had come to ask Bruce for some advice, and to tell him his post had arrived, but instead he stopped, smiled, and left the two lovers to their waltz.
Finally, the song finished, but you kept on swaying, not wanting to disturb the perfect peace of the wonderful moment you were in. If it were possible, you would have stopped time and stayed like that forever. Bruce stopped, though, and slightly surprised, so did you. You just held each other for a minute. At last, he brought you slightly away from him, looked into your eyes, smiled that gorgeous smile and kissed your forehead gently, before pulling you back into a hug.
And people say that romance is dead.

A/N: Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you’ve enjoyed it! You guys rock!
A Harry Potter Advent special for you! Enjoy! Also this is really cliché and cheesy but oh well! (by the way both Cedric and reader are 7th years)
…
The Yule Ball. Quite possibly the most hotly anticipated date in the school calendar. And you had nobody to go with.
All your friends had been asked, as they told you excitedly in late-night dorm room gossip sessions. You couldn't help but sigh with jealousy, even though you smiled and said you were happy for them. You never got any attention from anybody, and you kind of liked it that way, until this whole Yule Ball business got started. The announcement at the start of the year had got everybody excited, yourself included, but as time went on you grew rather fed up of hearing about it every five minutes. After half-term it got unbearable. Everybody talked about what dresses they were wearing, what shoes they had bought, accessories… it went on and on and on.
If you had to pick somebody to go with, it would be Cedric Diggory. But he’d already be going with someone, there was no way someone like him didn't have a date already.
You’d liked him ever since first year, since that time that your hands accidentally touched in potions, over some sliced Dragon skin. You’d never forgotten it, but you assumed that he had. But… recently, you’ve been catching him looking at you as you pass him in the corridor, more than what would be normal for such an interaction. It was like he was looking for you, actively seeking you out. It was so bizarre that you just couldn't fathom it. Hogwarts’ golden boy was looking at you? (not that it wasn’t warranted, you’re absolutely gorgeous) You shared a DADA class, and it was so weird… you could’ve sworn he spent more time trying to stare at you discreetly than listening to the professor. He was distracting you by doing absolutely nothing at all, and it finally came to a head when the professor asked you a question you couldn’t answer. He just blushed and said you didn’t know, earning you a, frankly, withering look.
You tripped through the rest of the day, confused, until you felt a hand on your shoulder after the end of school, when you were just about to head to your common room. You looked around, and it was Cedric.
‘Y/N… I have something to ask you.’ he said softly, looking into your eyes. He was displaying a rare moment of vulnerability! You stared back at him, too shocked to say anything. He took it as a sign to continue.
‘Listen… I know this is probably a long shot, but would you like to… come to the ball with me?’
Your heart started beating at an alarming pace. You felt sure that he could hear it. Did he really just ask you that? To go to the ball with him? You almost fainted. Before you could do anything silly, you nodded emphatically, a huge grin plastered on your face. He reciprocated it, making your already-madly-beating heart melt.
So that was it. You did have someone to go with after all! Now all of your friend’s boasting made total sense. You wanted to go and scream it out from the Astronomy tower:
I’M GOING TO THE BALL WITH CEDRIC DIGGORY!
But you didn’t. Obviously.
TIMESKIP: THE EVENING OF THE YULE BALL
Tonight’s the night! You had bought your outfit, your shoes, and all the various detritus that comes with an evening out. The weeks following Cedric’s asking you out were nothing like you had ever experienced before. You found him asking you every day how you were, how school was, what your workload was like, etcetera. But he was asking you to actually spend time with him, something you’d never been asked to do before. It was like a dream. Being with Cedric was just so easy - you found out who he really was, outside of his golden-boy persona. He was so lovely, and charming too, and it wasn’t hard to start catching feelings for him. Not that that was any bad thing, of course.
Nobody did much work at school that day, all were too busy dreaming about the night ahead of them. You would not be ashamed to admit that you were among them. The teachers gave you all knowing looks and didn’t set any homework, knowing what you’d all be up to the instant school was finished for the day. It turned out that they were correct: straight after potions, you shot to the common room at lightning speed, opening the door of your dorm to all your giggling friends, already drunk on the party atmosphere of the party that wouldn’t start for hours.
It continued as the hours passed and you all got ready, laughing and smiling. You were genuinely really looking forward to it, more than you thought you would. Most of all, you were excited to see Cedric and spend the night with him. Hair done, outfit on, shoes on, you looked an absolute picture. Staring at yourself in the mirror, you couldn’t really believe it was you. All your friends looked similarly stunning, and marvelled at your ethereal beauty. After that, well, it was time. Descending your dorm room stairs like a host of heavenly angels, everyone in the common room turned their gaze to you. Some of the girls paired off with their dates in the same house, and some of them walked off to meet theirs elsewhere.
Cedric was nowhere to be found, and you grew anxious. Your friends reassured you and told you that he was probably waiting for you at the ball. You nodded, took a deep breath, and headed towards the Great Hall. it wasn’t an easy task in your shoes, but you managed well enough, until you saw the stairs. You decided to stand regally at the top of the staircase for a moment, like royalty surveying their kingdom, to delay your descent. You glanced around worriedly, looking for your date. The hall was decorated immaculately; stars twinkling where the ceiling would be, snow on the white floor, glittering silver tinsel and baubles everywhere the eye could see.
Like a charm, Cedric was standing at the bottom of the large staircase, just staring at you, open-mouthed. He himself looked striking in a black tuxedo and dress robes, his white bow tie tied perfectly. His stunned face gave you the encouragement you needed to start descending the stairs, almost gliding, in fact. You reached him, and he finally recovered.
‘Y/N… I can’t believe this. You look absolutely stunning.’ he said, taking your hand and placing a kiss upon it.
‘Well, Cecric, it has to be said, you do clean up pretty well.’ you quipped back. ‘But seriously, you look fantastic. Really handsome.’ you added quietly, blushing a little. It was true! He really did look amazing, like your very own Prince Charming.
He offered you his arm, smiling, and led you into the hall. He chatted to you whilst you got drinks, and you stood together at the side of the room, sipping on wonderfully fruity mocktails. After a while, he threw you a smirk and held out his hand. You knew what came next. Dancing with Cedric Diggory! You never thought you’d see the day.
Just as you made your way to the dance floor, the up-tempo tune changed to a slow waltz. You’d been dreading a situation like this; luckily, Cedric knew what to do. He held you close, arms around you, and gently pulled you along with him. Eventually, you found the beat and your feet just moved themselves. Once you didn’t have to put all your focus on not tripping over, this dancing business was actually rather enjoyable! You looked up at him for the first time, your eyes locking instantly. He was a much better view than your shoes. You held his gaze throughout the whole rest of the song, and even when it finished, you just stood there, looking at each other.
You finally broke your trance, noticing that the waltz had been replaced with a fast-paced number. The change was almost painful. Once again, Cedric knew exactly what to do; it was like he’d been practising (he probably had been, just to impress you). He held your hands and you jumped around together, attracting the most scathing looks, but for once in your life not caring in the slightest.
And so it carried on that way, hour after precious hour, changing how you danced with each new song. From crazy jigging to Viennese waltzing, you did it all.
Finally, at the end of the evening, he tucked your arm in his and walked you back to your common room, leaving you with a soft kiss on the cheek to remember the night by. You couldn’t sleep that night; your head was filled with the technicolour whirlwind of an evening. Of course, you’d see him tomorrow, and probably every day after that until the end of time, but you would remember that night for the rest of your life.

You were friends with the Hoovers.
That was the understatement of the century. You were practically their third child, the amount of time you spent at their place.
At first, it started as babysitting Olive when her parents were busy. You lived nearby, and were known to be extremely trustworthy and so were an obvious choice. Olive took such a shine to you that she began to look for excuses for her parents to go out just so you could come around; Sheryl was happy to oblige with this, as she knew she could trust you and was happy to have some time with her husband when they were normally both so busy.
Sheryl had invited you for dinner one day, the day that Olive got the call about the Little Miss Sunshine pageant. Of course, you were super happy for her, and gave her a big hug and a smile. Of course, she was going to go, and win it to boot. But then came the logistics. Sheryl didn’t feel comfortable leaving Dwayne alone with Frank, so she begged him to come.
Now little did you know, but Dwayne had also taken a shine to you when you came to babysit. He saw how you were willing to do anything, play any game with Olive and he loved it. He secretly loved his little sister with all his heart, and was happy to see her happy. Though he never said a word, the two of you communicated occasionally through small smiles and nods. Dwayne hoped that one day he would pluck up the courage to actually “talk” to the gorgeous babysitter. Not that it would matter if he did or not, of course; there was no way you liked him back. Right?
One day, when you were over babysitting, he was just sitting on his bed reading Nietzsche, he heard music coming from the living room. He quietly made his way to the source of the sound, purely out of curiosity. Here’s what he saw: you and Olive dancing around the living room without a care in the world. You were happy and laughing together, and Dwayne thought it was one of the most wonderful things he’d ever witnessed. You caught his eyes and smiled a big, beautiful smile. Just for him. It was then that he knew he was in love with you.
Anyway, Sheryl was uncomfortable leaving Dwayne alone with Frank, so she begged him to come with them to the pageant. He shook his head strongly, looking disgusted. Just because he loved his sister didn’t mean that he was willing to go and watch a bunch of 7 year olds flaunt themselves on stage in front of a crowd of adults, being judged on their every move. He found it appalling. Wrong, even. She kept pleading, and Dwayne could only think of one thing that would make him not hate every second. He took out his pad and pen, looked his mother in the eye, and wrote one sentence on the pad:
Only if Y/N can come.
Her eyes widened a little when she saw what was written, but she knew there was no other way. She thought the request was for Olive’s sake, as she adored you - Sheryl didn’t even think Dwayne liked you. She didn’t really mind; you were very pleasant company. Little did she know, the request was purely for Dwayne’s own sake. She looked at you, with a slight blush dusting your cheeks as you had caught a glimpse of the notepad.
‘Y/N, honey, would you like to come to the pageant with us?’ She smiled.
‘Yeah, I’d love to, if you’re sure that’s okay?’ You replied.
‘Of course it is!’ Sheryl laughed.
She held out a hand for Dwayne to shake. He took it. You risked a quick glance over at Dwayne - he had the ghost of a grin on his face.
So, that was how, a little while later, you found yourself in the backseat of a bright yellow VW van, driving to California in the scorching heat.
The trip had been filled with drama. Grandpa passed on, Frank bumped into a ghost from his past, Richard lost the book deal of a lifetime, and Dwayne started talking. Ever since he found out he was colour-blind, he had given up on his goal of flight school.
When he had his breakdown, you were the first to go and comfort him, due to your kind and compassionate nature. As he heard your running footsteps coming towards him, a ghost of a smile made its way onto his face despite how distraught he felt; when you hugged him tight, he couldn’t help but hug you back. It was like you were made to be in his arms. Him in yours. You just belonged there. It felt so natural, but so strange nonetheless. The girl who he had been harbouring a secret crush on for months was finally hugging him. Just like he had been dreaming of.
Eventually, Olive came over and gave her brother a hug too. When he was ready, he made his way back to the van, each of you on one side of him. As you walked, you both felt your hands accidentally brush together. You both blushed and looked away. Olive, unusually observant for a 7-year-old, noticed. She smiled to herself, knowing of your mutual infatuations. She would have to play matchmaker to get you two to realise feelings for each other.
Before long, you were at the pageant. After the drama with the late registration, Olive was backstage getting ready. You sat in the lobby with Frank and Dwayne, conversing about one thing or another. Eventually, you found yourselves outside, the ocean breeze ruffling your hair in a very angelic fashion (thought Dwayne). His own black hair was blowing gently too, and even under the long, raven strands you could see the grin evident on his face. Frank stood back and allowed you two to discreetly gaze lovingly into each other’s eyes, still fully unaware of the other’s attractions. You leaned on the railing of the promenade and thought to yourself how it would be a perfect spot for a date with Dwayne. If only he liked you back. Frank saw you looking dreamy and wistful, and he smiled to himself; young love.
‘Hey, Y/N? Dwayne? Should we go back inside?’ he said softly. He hated himself for killing the moment, but the show was about to start.
You nodded in unison and began to wander back to the hotel. Once again, your hands brushed accidentally, and you blushed and grinned shamefully, hardly daring to look at Dwayne for fear that he’d find out your secret.
Back in the hotel, the pageant was a disaster. Dwayne had made clear his disdain for the event, and now he sat, stony-faced, in the audience. Next to you. You felt your heart flutter as he sat so close; the smallness of the room meant that all the chairs had to be crammed together to fit them all in. You’d never been so near to him. You felt the gentle heat from his skinny but definitely muscular arms, and, glancing up at his face, you felt your heart burst. Your love had reached its climax; this was it, you were going to say something. But you didn’t. Because the boy you loved definitely didn’t love you back.
The opening bars to ‘Super Freak’ began, and Olive began her dance. You thought it was brilliant, but the judges clearly did not. It was even better than when she had practiced with you. The judges and emcee were trying desperately to get her off the stage, but Olive wasn’t having any of it. The Richard got up on the stage, and one by one, the whole family ran up to the stage to join Olive in support.
Finally, it was just you and Dwayne left sitting in the audience. A sudden jolt of adrenaline coursed through your veins, and you grabbed the boy’s hand and ran towards the stage with him. He just looked at you in shock. Once up on the stage, he had no clue what to do, but you led him along. Gradually, he found his feet and surprisingly, he was actually enjoying himself. On a stage, in front of a hundred strangers, dancing with his sister’s babysitter. That was not something he thought he’d be doing when he woke up this morning! He looked over at you, and you were smiling at him. Again. He felt a flutter in his stomach, and suddenly Dwayne couldn’t deny his feelings for you any longer. He took you in his arms and spun you around. You just blushed; your heart beating madly. He pulled you close to him, and looked deep into your eyes; every person in the room except you two vanished. He placed a gentle kiss on your blushing cheek, and smiled. You couldn’t believe your luck – Dwayne Hoover was kissing you! He seemed to gain courage, and, leaning into your ear, he whispered three little words:
‘I love you.’
The song finished, and the family turned to look at the two of you, blushing and grinning in each other’s arms. Frank just laughed. He knew it had to happen eventually.

A/N: as usual, thanks so much for reading! You guys rock! Once again, feel free to drop me any other Paul requests if you have them.
As promised, here is the Cullen Family Valentine’s Special! Hope you enjoy, as it took me a fair while to write.
SUMMARY: some headcanons for how you would spend Valentine’s Day with all the Cullens (and human!Bella)
…
Carlisle
· As the hospital knew he was such a hard worker, they gave him the day off (he definitely deserved it)
· He hid little gifts around the house for you to find
o They consisted of roses, love notes, hand-made items, photos of the two of you and much more
· There were so many literally everywhere in the house that you found them for days afterwards
· You two just sat on the sofa in each other’s arms the whole day, never moving for anything
· After a day of gentle loving, Carlisle blindfolded you and took you in the car to his favourite secret spot
· It wasn’t a long drive, but you found yourself growing slightly impatient on the journey
· He surprised you with one of the nicest places you’d ever seen
· You vowed it would become your special place, just as it was Carlisle’s
· You found yourselves at the bend in a beautiful river, just in time to see the sun sink slowly beneath the horizon, in a glowing burst of colours
o It was the most phenomenal thing you had ever seen (besides Carlisle himself)
· Sat on blankets, you chatted the day away, until the night grew dark and cold
· You started to get up, but Carlisle pulled you gently back down
o ‘my love, look at the stars!’
· and you did.
· If you thought the sunset was stunning, the inky black sky just redefined the word
· Constellations littered the sky, every star its own perfect heaven
· The rest of the night was spent laying on the blanket, hand in hand, gazing up at the night sky
Esme
· The two of you spent your Valentine’s Day doing good things for the town:
o You baked cookies for hospital patients
o You made cards to give to the rest of the Cullens and your friends
o You treated the workers of the library to a home-made pie
o You gave roses and good wishes to people you saw on the street
o And just the general spreading of good, Valentine’s cheer
o And you had a damn good time doing it
· All that doing good had almost made you forget yourselves on this, the day of love
· Almost
· At home, you found a bouquet of roses from Esme herself waiting for you on the kitchen table, along with a DVD of your favourite movie and a photo in a frame she had decorated herself
· The two of you sat on the sofa and watched your favourite romantic movies together, cuddled under blankets
· When the day turned to night, you surprised Esme with a necklace you had made her and a bouquet of her favourite flowers
o She put the necklace on immediately and swore never to take it off
· You decided to put on your CD of love songs and you danced together in the kitchen, so in love
· Definitely one of the best days you’d ever spent together
Edward
· Edward took you to his most sacred place, the meadow
· He made sure that you were out of the house before sunrise, so you could watch the sun creep from below the horizon together
o You made it just in time
· The feeling of running through the forest and streaking across the meadow was a high you were sure you wouldn’t feel ever again
· At last you fell on the soft, flowery ground just as the sun was making its ascent
o It was beautiful
· But not as breath-taking as the person sitting next to him, Edward told you
o If you could have blushed, you would have
· When the dawn had well and truly broken, Edward started pulling things out of the backpack he had brought
o He had board games, books, puzzles, sketch pads, you name it
· You whiled away the day playing your favourite games together
· Edward revelled in the opportunity to play chess with you, being the only person whose mind he couldn’t read
· When you played every game several times, you just lay down in the soft grass and held each other for hours and hours
· It felt so wonderful to let the sun shine on your face for once, and you saw the sparkle of Edward’s skin – you knew yours was identical, and you loved it
· You talked to each other in hushed voices, but mostly lay in silence; your company was enough for each other
o You gazed up at his gorgeous features; they never failed to take your breath away
· The day had passed quick as a wink, and before you knew it then sun was sinking below the horizon, spreading its beautiful colours across the landscape, and glittering golden on your faces, as you smiled at each other
· You sat there, looking at each other until the sun had left the sky
o ‘my love, it’s twilight’
· and it was.
· The light was half there and half not, and it was beautiful
· Finally, you streaked through the forest again together at midnight, racing each other, laughing so loud the people three towns over heard it
· It had been the best day you’d ever had
Rosalie
· She took you out for a drive in her red convertible
· She drove so fast you screamed and laughed together
· The feeling of breezing down the roads was exhilarating; it filled you with euphoria and a palpable giddiness you’d never felt before
· The streets were deserted; there was no-one to stop your fun
· Rosalie drove you to all your favourite places, and you got out, sat and talked together at every one
· Once you had seen all your favourite places, Rosalie took you to hers
· There were meadows, streams, forests, everything
· She had good taste
· At your final stop, the place where you had your first date, she gave you a gift: your favourite flowers and a ring
o It was her promise to you to love you forever
§ If she ever thought you’d leave her, she was crazy
· You finished the evening by singing love songs together sat on a blanket on the banks of a gentle stream, not a care in the world
· You could see the sun set in its gentle waters
· Rosalie held you close in her strong arms, and you felt that you couldn’t be close enough
· Your hands touched accidentally, but you grasped Rosalie’s tightly, knowing how she had struggled in the past
· You didn’t let go for the rest of the night
· On the drive back home, you screamed the same songs at the top of your voices, not caring one bit about being heard by people
· When you got back home, a giggling mess, you cuddled up together on the sofa, completely drunk on love
Alice
· She took you out shopping and told you to pick whatever you wanted
· She treated you to a brand-new outfit, which you wore that night when you went out to a Valentine’s Day party thrown by one of your friends
o You two slow danced the night away
· When you returned home at midnight, the two of you treated yourselves to self-care and romantic movies
· When you got bored of the movies, you held each other close for the rest of the night, Alice making sure that you were always feeling comfortable and loved
· It was so perfectly romantic you could have sworn you were dreaming the whole time
· A soft, sweet and gentle Valentine’s Day
(sorry, I couldn’t think of much for Alice – I may add more to this if I get more inspiration)
Emmett
· The two of you left the house very early and went for a morning walk in the forest
· Nobody had seen you leave, it was more thrilling than you thought it would be
· You made your way there, only running when you were sure you were out of sight of any unsuspecting humans
· The gentle sunbeams fell through the leafy green ceiling and sparkled on your skin
· You grinned at each other, as Emmett suddenly sprinted away from you
· Determined not to let him get away from you, you followed at full speed
· You eventually caught up to him in a clearing, where he was stood in front of a large log, grinning widely
· You knew what he was thinking
· You were by him in an instant, arm held out, hand ready for him to take
· He did so, and it began
· He thought he was winning at first, and he relaxed, overly confident, and you saw your chance to beat him and win
· And that you did
· He was shell-shocked, in a word
· You laughed at his kicked-puppy face, until he cracked a smile and tackled you to the ground
· You lay there, laughing together, never happier
· Eventually, you got up and continued walking
· You talked all the time, hand in hand
· Walking, walking, walking till it was past sunset
· Eventually, you only saw by the light of the moon
· Emmett told you it looked stunning sparkling off your face like that
· You stopped suddenly, and he did too, confused, until you ran off this time
· He took a while to catch up
· You had to stop at the edge of the forest, lest any humans were around at this unlikely hour
· You walked home, hand in hand, having spent a long, wonderful day with each other
Jasper
· He took you to his favourite place, the top of a hill
· A somewhat unlikely place for vampires to hang out, as you were in full sun
· It was especially risky as it was an abnormally nice day for February
o You had to bring a big floppy hat to hide your sparkling skin
· However, the risk made it all the more exciting to the two of you
· There you sat, on the top of the hill, until you saw humans climbing up it
· This you took as your cue to get out of there
· What were this bunch of hikers going to say when they happened across two sparkling “teenagers” on the top of the hill?
· Not very much, you suspected; only a great deal of screaming
o You usually didn’t mind attention, although this was the type of attention Carlisle would not be fond of
· So, you got out of there
· You ran down the other side of the hill as quickly as you could, which was very risky as well
· However, as you both were basically flashes of light, nobody saw you
o It was kind of a miracle actually
· You found yourselves in the same forest where you had met, and in the same clearing too
· You decided to sit against a tree and reminisce for a while
· You brought out your pocket knife and began to carve your names into the tree you were sat against, vowing that you would come back whenever possible for some peace and quiet
o Jasper agreed
· Something inside you told you that it wouldn’t be very long before you were back
Bella
· You spent the day at Bella’s house as it was the weekend
· You had agreed between you that Bella would provide entertainment, and you would provide the food, being the better cook
· Bella didn’t disappoint; she had rented tons of rom coms for you to watch
· When you walked into the house, you found every surface was covered in every candle that Bella owned, lit up and producing a lovely, warm glow
· It was like the glow you felt in your heart when you were with her
· The sofa was buried under blankets and pillows
· You hadn’t disappointed either; you had prepared a wonderful lasagne for the two of you, and had brought soup for lunch too
· Plus, Charlie had gone out for the day, so you had the place to yourselves
· Bella decided to start with Love Actually, then you chose Breakfast at Tiffany’s
· You watched the movies cuddled on the sofa, hand in hand
· After the 2 movies, it was lunchtime, so you heated the soup you had brought and served it between the two of you, whilst watching Bridget Jones’ Diary
· After Bridget Jones, you grew bored of the movies, and decided to bake cupcakes instead
· Now, it had to be said that the cupcakes you made weren’t the greatest, but that was only because you were too busy chucking cake batter at each other and laughing to care about them
· However, by the end of the 3 hours it took to make them, you had a plate of half-decent cupcakes, but a very messy kitchen, dirty clothes and cake batter filled hair
· It was only an hour till Charlie was due to return, so Bella and you had to run around like headless chickens trying to clear things up
· Then you had to run around like headless chickens cleaning yourselves up
· Just as you heard the key in the lock you sprinted to the sofa and jumped on it
· Charlie walked in to two girls grinning on the sofa, looking the happiest he’d ever seen them
· He smiled too, happy to see you two happy

A/N: thanks so much for reading! Don’t hesitate to send in any requests you have, and I will answer it ASAP after my hiatus (should be a couple more weeks till my schedule calms down)
Can I request a scenario for Edward Cullen where reader falls asleep on his shoulder for the first time?
reader is his mate but they're not romantically involved yet-
we are just starved for Edward fluff on here 😭 I hope im not being too vague with my request. have a great day!
Sleepy Cuddles (10/1/23)
Edward Cullen x reader
A/N: Hey Nonnie! Thank you for your well wishes - I am sending you some too! Thank you for sending this request in, and I hope you like it :)
SUMMARY: reader falls asleep on Edward’s shoulder for the first time - just a bit of fluff!
…
You and Edward were mates. But because he was 104 years old, and quite a traditional man in his values, you had never really done anything romantic, or even had much physical contact.
That’s why you were so excited by what had happened the other night.
You had had a tough week, and as a result you were exhausted beyond belief. However, you decided to spend some quality time with Edward, rather than going to sleep (logical - who wouldn’t?). So that’s where you found yourself. On the couch, next to Edward (a sufficient distance away, obviously) watching a gory horror movie of his choosing. Apparently, this was because he ‘wanted to see “monsters” like himself on screen’. You found this to be complete and utter rubbish, as you knew that behind the sparkling stone-cold killer exterior, he was a complete softie; though he did his best to keep this side of him hidden away (however, you’d found it).
Now, it had to be said that you weren’t the biggest fan of horror movies. Especially not the gory ones. However, you wanted to finally make a move on Edward. You used this combination of factors to formulate a plan in your head: you would try to inch closer to him on the sofa, very discreetly. This would also make a welcome distraction to the horrible scenes on the screen, and a way to keep yourself awake.
Unbeknownst to you, Edward had noticed you moving closer to him. At first, he had tried to inch away from you as you were inching towards him; but after a while, he realised that, deep inside his cold heart (that was not so cold for you), he had wanted to make a move on you for a while, so he sat still and let you move closer to him.
About halfway through the film, your arms were almost touching. You felt a little spark of excitement in your heart as you realised that you were one minute movement away from being shoulder-to shoulder with Edward. You found you weren’t bold enough to make that final move yet, however the universe had decided you were ready. The movie suddenly took a violent turn, and it made you jump, nearly into Edward’s arms. You felt him tense up a little at the unexpected contact, but he relaxed almost immediately. The two of you were finally TOUCHING! You just couldn’t believe it.
The film was about 3/4 of the way through, and as much as you tried, you just couldn’t keep your eyes open. They grew heavier and heavier until you were sure you were about to lose the fight. Finally, you did. You fell asleep; your head falling softly on Edward’s shoulder. Edward, being the good man that he was, let you stay there. As you slept on silently, Edward was having some trouble keeping his gorgeous smile off his face. If he was honest, he enjoyed the feeling of having someone trust him that much to sleep on his shoulder. Although he would never admit to that.
The movie finished, but Edward stayed sat on the sofa, not wishing to disturb you. After a little while had gone by, he took you in his arms slowly and carefully so you wouldn’t notice and wake up; your head on his shoulder all the while. He placed a gentle kiss on your head, and told himself to stop beating about the bush and give you all the love in the world. Hell, he promised he would give you the world if you wanted it. And so, there you both were. Edward Cullen cuddling you all night long, his head resting on yours. Edward found he couldn’t bear to let you go, even when morning came.
All it took for him to realise his deep, true love for you was you trusting him, and wanting to be with him, even doing something you hated.
That night, Edward promised to love you forever and always.
A/N: Thanks so much for reading. I hope you’ve enjoyed this! You guys rock!
SUMMARY: Day 2! A girly shopping trip with Alice and Rosalie - what could go wrong?
Trigger warnings: none, I don’t think.
…
Today was the day. Alice had somehow convinced you and Rosalie to come shopping with her. After much begging and pleading, you had no choice but to give in. Much as you had complained about it, a tiny part of you had been looking forward to it.
Setting off early in the morning, the three of you made your way to Seattle, as Alice said it had ‘the BEST shops!’. You had to take her word for it on that one. You knew next to nothing about all that sort of thing, and Rosalie had to agree. Shopping was very much Alice’s forte, not that she hadn’t tried to change that with you two. The car ride had been very uneventful, but you had requested Christmas songs on the way, and before you knew where you were, you were all yelling the words at the tops of your voices. Even Rosalie had been persuaded to join in.
Several rounds of Step into Christmas and one particularly heartfelt rendition of ABBA’s Happy New Year later, you reached the city, before finally swinging into a parking spot just as you were belting out the final chorus of Christmas Lights. The festivities didn’t stop there; you all but danced down the street, arm in joyful arm. Every shop was totally decked out with every kind of decoration you could possibly imagine. Bells jingling, fake candles flickering, fake snow glittering; it was a magical sight to see. There was real snow on the pavement and on the roads, turning to slush as you walked through it. Thank goodness today wasn’t a sunny day, or else you’d all be sparkling like the snow.
The first shop you wandered into was, of course, a clothes shop. You knew that there’d be no escaping it, with Alice in charge of the trip. You dutifully tried on all the clothes she practically threw at you, and even found a few pieces that you actually liked. Say what you like about Alice, but she has damn good taste. She said that you’d need outfits for several occasions, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve. and that was just for starters. The pair of you decided to humour her and just go along with what she was telling you. Rosalie looked absolutely stunning in a short, sparkly red dress that made her legs look ten miles long and set off her pearly skin perfectly. Alice herself was happily parading around in a white number, that she said was ‘perfect for New Year’s Eve!’
Next, you found yourself in a bookstore, trying to find presents for the rest of the Cullens. Shopping with Alice was like walking in a tornado; you never knew where you’d end up next. You decided on a book on the history of Chicago for Edward, and some medical tome for Carlisle, not that there wasn’t anything about medicine that he didn’t already know. Esme liked her hobbies, so you chose a book on flower-pressing for her. Smiling, you pretended not to look as Alice picked up the book you’d wanted for ages. You paid for all your books, and you all but staggered out of the shop carrying them all in tote bags full to bursting, making you really wish you’d got them last.
By this time, it was around noon. The next shop you hit was a homeware store, to pick up some new decorations for the Christmas tree and a gingerbread house kit. Even though you couldn’t actually eat it, they were so fun to make. Carlisle could always bring it as a treat for the other workers at the hospital. Sighing, you thought about the long-ago times when you could’ve eaten it. But now was not the time for reflection. You finished quickly there, sporting tinsel feather boas for some extra festive pizzazz. Stopping at LUSH, you bought yourself a bath bomb, along with some other goodies for the girls. More shops, more gifts. It was never-ending in the best way possible.
By 6 o’clock, you had well and truly shopped until you dropped. The car ride back was another karaoke bonanza, featuring Rosalie’s incredible version of All I Want for Christmas is You. You had found that Rosalie had taken a lot of thawing, but once you knew her, she really was a lovely person to be around. Same with Alice, but she was as bubbly as a bath. She had already declared you firm friends on the first day you met. It was times like Christmas when you were really grateful for the Cullens and the warm welcome they had extended to you; having nobody to spend Christmas with was miserable.
Back at the house, the fun continued with a screening of Elf, everyone in the matching pyjamas Alice had somehow managed to sneak into the shopping basket at one point, totally unbeknownst to you. The faces Edward made when he was presented with them were absolutely priceless. It had been a fun day. Maybe you’d let Alice take you shopping again soon. Not too soon, though!
hello! I'd like to request something with Jasper (Twilight) where him and the reader are just spending time together. Hanging out, picnic etc. Something where reader tells him "sometimes I'd love to be a tiny person, living in your pocket". I hope this makes sense 😭
Pocket (21/3/23)
Jasper Hale x reader
SUMMARY: Jasper and the reader are hanging out in the forest one day. You have a peaceful, restful time together. (By the way the reader is human, and Alice and Jasper are just siblings in this)
A/N: thanks to the anon who requested this! So sorry it’s taken ages, but hope you enjoy :)
…
The two of you just fancied getting away from life for a while. That was why you found yourselves strolling through the cool forest one sunny day. The sunbeams danced on Jasper’s face, sparkling and shining like the stars. He swung a picnic basket in his arms, refusing to let you carry it. Always the gentleman.
As you walked, you talked, about this and that. When your next date night would be. Movies you could watch. Books you could read. It seemed like you had walked for hours; the edge of the forest you had entered from got further and further away until you could hear the drone of traffic no longer, only birdsong and the sound of a gentle stream. You kept looking at each other, smiling every time you did so. All the time you were thinking ‘how did I get so lucky?’, and you were sure he was thinking the same thing. That was the beauty of yours and Jasper’s relationship: you two were absolutely perfect together, and you knew for absolute certainty that you would spend the rest of your days with him. Alice knew too. She had come to you one day, having just seen it, practically bursting at the news. You were the first person she had told, and you asked her to tell Jasper, but nobody else. You wanted to keep your piece of paradise to yourselves for the moment. You would tell them later, when the two of you had had time to talk about your options. Alice happily demanded to know when the wedding would be, and you laughed, telling her you weren’t sure yet. That day felt like years ago, and you genuinely wondered once again, as you had done many times, when that special day would be. It was going to be soon, you felt it. Jasper wouldn’t want to wait. As soon as you had graduated high school, you were going to do it. Even if it wasn’t the huge wedding Alice had planned, or the small and intimate one you’d planned, you were going to do it.
‘Y/N, darlin, where shall we sit down?’ He asked you, his quiet southern lilt pulling you out of your daydream.
‘Wherever you want, Jas. Here look as good a place as any.’ You replied quietly.
You sat down on a mossy rock by a babbling stream, before being pulled up by Jasper, only for him to lay his jacket down for you. You laughed a little; he was such a gentleman to you.
‘Gotta make sure this rock is suitable for my girl!’ He said. He could really turn on the Southern charm when he wanted to, huh?
You smiled as he gave you food from the picnic basket. As usual, Esme had not disappointed; it was stuffed full of all your favourite treats. Usually you felt awkward eating in front of Jasper, but the feeling of happiness washing over you from the quiet, peaceful forest was enough to completely block the awkwardness. He smiled at you, loving your humanity, as it was something he had been without for many years. He missed it sometimes, but almost felt he relived his human life through you.
You began to chat quietly about not very much at all, when you suddenly blurted out:
‘You know, Jas, sometimes I’d love to be a tiny person, just living inside your pocket.’
‘Oh yeah? Well, I’d love for you to live there darlin.’ He laughed.
You smiled at him and gazed into his eyes. He gazed back, and that was it, you were lost in each other. It was the best place to be lost in.
Later on, you began to hear the birds singing a chorus way up in the trees. Jasper shot up in that slightly unnerving way that vampires do. He offered you his hand instantly, and you took it, letting him pull you up. He pulled you close to him, and you swayed to the golden sounds surrounding you. You closed your eyes and let the feeling of euphoria wash over you, and were sure that he felt the same. You stood swaying long after the splendid chorus fell silent, until the day started to turn dark. He suddenly released you, with a ‘look, Y/N! The sunset!’ And he was right. Through the chinks in the forest canopy, you saw the most magical array of colours: reds, oranges, yellows, golds, pinks… every colour on the spectrum was there, and it was beautiful.
The colours gave you courage.
‘Jasper, let’s get married.’ You said suddenly.
‘What?’ He turned to you, obviously shocked.
‘Let’s get married.’ You repeated. He looked at you for a second, then smiled.
‘Yea darlin, let’s get married.’ He replied. He held you ever close as you watched the sunset together, and in your heart you knew that he was perfect for you.

The Baby
Carlisle Cullen x reader
SUMMARY: one of Dr Cullen’s patients is the daughter of someone more familiar than he realises…
A/N: hello lovely anon! I am so terribly sorry that this took so long, but thanks very much for your request! Hope you enjoy :)
(By the way Y/C/N means your child’s name and they/them pronouns are used for your child)
…
You had to take Y/C/N to the doctor’s today for a check-up, as you gave your nanny, Sam, the day off. She’s been working so hard recently.
It was a Dr Cullen they would be seeing, as they normally did. The name did ring a bell somewhere, but you just couldn’t think of where from. You took Y/C/N in the car, and they were quiet all the way. Luckily. They had a dreadful tendency to be car sick a lot of the time, so you were glad they were calm today. Sam always told you that Y/C/N loved Dr Cullen, and always laughed away whenever they had an appointment with him. Finally pulling into the hospital car park, you parked and got yourself and Y/C/N out of the car. You had no trouble at reception; all the nurses knew Y/C/N too, and cooed at them as they laughed away. You smiled.
Eventually, you were called into the doctor’s office. Suddenly, you realised why the name had sounded so familiar. There, sitting at his desk was Carlisle Cullen, the man who you had once had a fling with, a few years ago. You had almost completely forgotten about it, but immediately chastised yourself for doing so. How could you ever forget him? He was such a gentleman, and looked absolutely dashing that night you first met.
‘Carlisle?’ you asked quietly.
‘Y/N?’ he replied, looking at you inquisitively.
You just looked at each other, neither of you daring to speak first, hearing only Y/C/N’s quiet babbling. You looked away, blushing. He gave you a gentle smile and bade you sit down. You did, and he began to ask you about how Y/C/N had been. They had been fine, and you told him so. He took them to the table to examine them.
‘I must say, Ms Y/L/N, this is a very pleasant surprise. I was expecting Sam, Y/C/N’s nanny. Of course, I knew that the mother’s name was Y/N Y/L/N, but I never dreamed it would be you. It has been so long since we last spoke; It seems I have missed you, without even realising it. You did look very beautiful that night.’
Blushing, you replied. ‘Well, Carlisle, I had no idea it was you who was Y/C/N’s doctor. I have never needed to visit the hospital, thank goodness. But I agree, it is lovely to see you again. We must catch up soon.’
‘They seem very healthy, Ms Y/L/N.’ he nodded, ‘I’d love to see you again soon, that sounds perfectly delightful. Are you perhaps free this Thursday? It is my only day off this week.’
‘Why yes, I believe I am, Carlisle. Shall we meet at the coffee shop? How does 11 o’clock sound? And please, call me Y/N.’
‘Perfect.’ He replied with a smile, writing up Y/C/N’s notes.
Suddenly, a thought entered your mind. You had met Carlisle 3 years ago, and Y/C/N was nearly 2 and a half. He couldn’t be, could he? There was only one way to find out. You decided to ask him outright – Carlisle preferred it when people spoke their mind clearly and directly to the point.
‘Carlisle? Do you think there is any chance that you could be Y/C/N’s father?’
He dropped his pen in shock.
‘Well. How long has it been now, 3 years? And Y/C/N is nearly 2 and a half?’ he said calmly, glancing at their file. ‘I suppose there is a chance, yes. You’re correct. We could organise for Y/C/N and I to take a DNA test, then we would be absolutely sure. Yes…’
‘A DNA test?’ you asked.
‘Yes, it’s a fairly simple procedure nowadays. I can enquire about making that happen, Y/N.’
You just nodded, but deep in your heart you already knew: Carlisle was definitely the father.
TIMESKIP: A FEW WEEKS LATER…
Here you both were, in Carlisle’s office once more. A plain, brown envelope lay between you on the desk. You both stared at it in silence. The contents of the envelope were the answer to the question you had asked Carlisle a few weeks ago.
‘You open, it Carlisle.’ You said, finally looking up at him.
‘No Y/N. I think you should open it.’ He countered, and sighing, you knew that he was right. You took the envelope with shaking hands and tore open the top. You drew out the sheet of paper, and glanced at it briefly, before taking a second, closer look.
Carlisle was the father.
…
A/N: as usual, thanks so much for reading! You guys rock!
