This is something I tell myself every now and then. Seeing that I'm not the only small creator on the platform, I thought I'll share this with everyone. Might come on handy. I know a lot of creators who put hours to days into making a single post. When you put that amount of effort into it. It is discouraging when you don't get the recognition you deserve. The discouragement comes when you compare your page to other pages... Pages who don't even put the 'e' of effort into their posts. And you think to yourself, Why am I even doing this? Or What's the point of it when I'm not gaining anymore followers? I've been there and I've thought all that. Here's what I tell myself, 1) The 70 followers I have, come to see my posts. Most of them might not even see it because it gets lost in the feed. But the 10-20 people that do see my post, should find some value in it. However long it takes to interact with my post. Anywhere from 10secs to a couple of minutes. They should not think that they just wasted their time over a post. 2) I'm thinking about the 70 followers I have right now. But I'm failing to consider all the followers I will gain. Because this post in immortal. Like someone said, "Once something is on the internet, you can't get it back." Internet is the Zeitgeist of the 21st Century. Now your post is out there. Who knows how many people will see it and find it wholesome, useful, and valuable in the years and decades to come. . To reiterate, Focus on followers you have and account for the followers you will get. Hope you find that useful.
