🌎💪🏾Handstand Press Training Exercises💪🏾🌎 The handstand is a full body exercise which requires you to fully invert your body by stabilizing the trunk, upper body, & legs while continually pressing your bodyweight on the hands. Tips to success are to 1) Train Progressions shown here and others you find through your own experience & research. 2) Train on some element of the handstand EVERY DAY for mastery (Wrist stability/mobility is vital performing Handstands) 3) Overcome frustrations you may be feeling by thoroughly focusing your body and the task at hand. 4) Handstand Balance is also a metaphor for Life Balance. •• Exercises•• 1. 🌎Lacrosse Ball Fixes🌎 Self Myofascial Release or SMR is a critical component to building and maintaining a functional body. Using the lacrosse ball (or other SMR apparatus) will allow for the muscles and tendons to properly recover and rejuvenate by allowing fresh blood/nutrient flow to come into the area. When we train, our muscle fibers slide past each other to create contractions; this done repetitiously will eventually lead to muscle fibers that clump or "knot" up together, like your a bunch of chords you threw in your backpack/purse this morning. Massage can be used to unravel your knotted muscle fibers and allow fresh blood to flow in and heal the area. This can be a great addition to any rehabilitation regimen that does not include Blunt force trauma (within 1 week of trauma at least). Therefore if your shoulder, neck, back, glute medius, or forearms, elbows, etc are taxed out, try giving them some love with the lacrosse ball. This also helps those who deal with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome which is when the muscles in the forearm are so knotted that they flex on their own cause pain & some immobility to its recipients.
