Muscle goals!
I've been seeing some improvements from going to the gym (almost) consistently and I'm starting to see more results!! Them gains are building!
I think my workout buddy might be trying to kill me. I told him I don't feel any tension in my chest when working out and he said we're upping my weight next week. Time to lift big or be crushed by my own ambition.
My Goals
Decided to make a wee post about what I want to achieve so I can look back at it to give me extra motivation! I've been using the website www.symmetricstrength.com to compare my performance to other lifters and see my strengths and weaknesses. Currently I'm a rank novice when looking at my 1rms (I'm using a 1rm calculator with my training Max's, also rounding to the nearest kg) at my current body weight of 70 kg (154lbs) at a height of 174cm (5'8) my lifts are are as follows (current on the left, goal on the right) : Novice --> Intermediate Squat: 91 kg (200lbs) --> 111 kg (244lbs) Bench: 62 kg (136lbs) --> 83 kg (183lbs) Deadlift: 109 kg (240lbs) --> 127 kg (279lbs) Overhead press: 43 kg (95lbs) --> 54 kg (119lbs) Rows: 59 kg (130lbs) --> 80 kg (176lbs) Once I'm at these numbers I'll have an intermediate strength level! Then I'll be aiming for proficient level! This is assuming I stay the same body weight however. Obviously if my weight goes up then the goal weights I want to lift go up too! With my slow bulk I'm aiming for my supposed "genetic potential" of 85kg (187lbs)at 15% body fat. I reckon it's as good a goal as any!! But that's a long way off at the moment! The overall goal right now is to get strong as fuck!!! Abs can wait for the moment haha :P Stay Strong! 💪
