I think nothing on my body shows what I am and love as much as my right hand (not even counting non-permanent ink and pen marks): I have a weird thing on my middle finger because of drawing a lot, an absurdly misshapen ring finger (incl. nail) from how I hold my tattoo machine, and now also lifting calluses are back. Only fair, I guess. (I have a couple of things more to say on this topic, actually, but I'll save that for another comic. 😚)

(I do kinda miss derby bruises though!)

Also, retrospectively, I'm very sure that's not what the plural of callus is.

When a middle aged rando dude comes up to you while in between sets and says “I see you deadlift every day and that you’re over training.” At which I made the time out signal and told him to please stop. He walked away after a few attempts at continuing the conversation. Then after another set he comes back and starts in again that he is a dr and I should listen to him. Once again I tell him to please stop and to leave. What goes on with people?

It’s really difficult for me to accept that I’m so bad at bench press... I can’t even bench half the weight I can squat. I know I have been neglecting bench press before because I really don’t like it, but now I’m actually making an effort. I do 6 sets per session. I even do variations of cable flyes and push ups. I feel like I should at least be able to do my bw?
