Have been thinking of pursuing my childhood dream of becoming an entomologist and studying moths. Today provided two wonderful moths to look at and observe. The pregnant geometrid moth will have her eggs raised as a personal project, the light emerald moth was released after the many pictures were taken. Don't worry, btw, the geometrid moth's wing was not damaged by me, she was surprisingly cooperative in being transferred into that butterfly mesh thing. It's extremely useful and if interested, I will link the Amazon listing for it. It has a sleeve thing with a drawstring for this kind of thing, and I definitely can leave a good review now that two moths have been successfully placed inside. The female moth will be kept in observation, and maple leaves will be provided for her caterpillars! I'll have a piece of thin paper for her to lay the eggs on if I get there before she lays them. Once the eggs are laid, I'll take more pics and let her go.
