Fresh Cucumber Carrot Salad - Light & Zesty Recipe
This Lime Chiffon Tart is a delightful combination of tangy lime flavor and airy chiffon texture, nestled in a buttery tart crust. It's a refreshing dessert that is perfect for any occasion, especially when you crave something light and citrusy.
Ingredients: 1 9-inch pre-baked tart crust. 3/4 cup lime juice. 1 tablespoon lime zest. 1 envelope unflavored gelatin. 3/4 cup sugar. 4 eggs, separated. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup water. 1/2 cup heavy cream. Whipped cream and lime slices for garnish.
Instructions: Put water in a small bowl and sprinkle gelatin over it. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Put the egg yolks, sugar, salt, lime juice, and lime zest in a saucepan. Stir the mixture all the time over medium-low heat until it gets thick. Take it off the heat and stir in the gelatin mixture until it's all mixed in. Keep in the fridge until mostly set, stirring every now and then. Beat egg whites in a bowl until they form stiff peaks. Heavy cream should be whipped in a different bowl until stiff peaks form. Add whipped cream to the lime mixture and then beat the egg whites. Pour into a tart crust that has already been baked. Put it in the fridge for at least 4 hours, or until it sets. Before serving, top with whipped cream and lime slices.
