Although he would not suggest it aloud, such a message hinted that the research Skyfire and his own alternate were conducting had not been progressing as they needed it to. Red Alert was quite certain that both mecha would have rather eaten their own servos than ask for assistance unless the situation was dire; scientists tended to be a fussy sort.

Oh gods kill her now. Anxeity tugged at Crescent Sky’s gut at the return ping she received from the random line she had found. In all honesty, the A.I. hadn’t expected the little alert at all. Sinking against her jumbo jet, Crescent Sky answered the ping. [“Hello? uh, this is Crescent Sky speaking, can I help you?”] Great, she sounds like a stuttering school girl. Brilliant.
