Just saw Hadestown as it came through Toronto and I knew the music was going to be great but holy shit: The lighting direction on the show is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!!

I have never seen light used like that in a production. It made it feel like we were moving from scene to scene with the cast despite that fact there weren't many physical set changes, and the set changes they did do were in service to the lighting.

Just...fcking amazing. 10/10 would see again.

After years of consideration, I have decided to no longer be the Lighting Director of my church’s lighting crew.

I started in 2010. The story went like this:
