She leaned in closer to the blonde's side, her blue eyes scanning the other woman. She was bland-looking; she resembled every other white woman in the room. Mierin looked at Amy as she spoke, and she reached out to put a stray lock of the blonde's hair back in place. A wicked grin appeared on her lips. "Hmm, what do you propose I should do to her?"
Her grin faltered, however, when she saw a man approaching them. She squinted her eyes and tilted her head a little to look at him. Mierin noticed that once he had been a good-looking man, she supposed he still was to some, but there was something about him she didn't like. She saw him looking at Amy, her Amy. She put her arm possessively on her partner's back as he started to speak. "Amy, I didn't know you'd be coming." He said, eyes filled with dislike for the woman beside her. Yeah, Mierin really didn't like him at all.
His eyes shifted to her, and she saw him looking appreciatively at her, taking her in, and her own lip curled with disgust. He extended his hand, and all she wanted to do in return was raise an eyebrow, so he let his hand fall and instead said, "I'm Nick Dune, Amy's ex-husband. And you are?" He had the audacity to smile at her while he said that. "Mierin," she said, pausing a little before turning to Amy, "that's your ex? I have to say I expected more." She knew he was still there, but she found he was no longer worth their attention and time. She let her hand on the blonde's back go down to squeeze a buttock softly, before she let her hand rest there.
