those of you who have been following me for years know how important my gram is to me. she passed away in february 2022 and today's her birthday. she'd have been 70. i miss her like crazy. i miss her beating my ass in board games, watching silly shows with her, doing puzzles, hanging out, complaining about my mom/her daughter. she's everything to me even still. happy birthday, gramma. te amo 💙

She's been watching Vivian train for the last couple of minutes, hasn't even realized she's staring. Honestly, Brigitte doesn't realize how long it's been either, close to ten minutes just watching. "I'm so sorry," she says, pulling the corners of her lips down a bit in embarrassment. "I just— I really like watching people train, and you're amazing at what you do!" Watching others gives her ideas on how to better train for herself, or gives her new ideas in general. She doesn't mean to be weird about it.

between whatever is going on with my health at the moment, a lot going on at work, and a course i'm taking for work, i have very little energy to do anything else. i feel super bad about keeping people waiting, but i just need to focus on my health and stuff for awhile. and i know no one actually cares how long stuff takes, but i just feel like i need to explain why i've gone from speedy to snail pace.

today has been a day because i woke up high from stuff i had taken last night and i had a bit of a meltdown about it and couldn't go to work. i was so disoriented and i hated every second of it. waking up unexpectedly high? do not recommend 0/10. anyway, not gonna get on tonight but i will be on discord!

Oh, and Moira is even more invested than Yan could have dreamed. She explains to the best of her ability, which she makes sure to stress is not always widely applicable; there are differences between vampires she's met in her lifetime, and she's certain that's only the half of it. Nonetheless, she provides.

If she enjoys the interest in general, she enjoys Moira's admittance of it more. "Yes?" There's the genuine kind of smile again. "I assume this means you will be keeping me around?"

"Indeed I will be," she admits, giving a bright smile, a light glistening in her eyes. "There is much I wish to discover." Not just how Yan works — her blood, her strength, her cells — but how it compares to the human body and just how Moira could use it moving forward. "If you are so willing." Moira is not so enamored that she believes she could keep the vampire here against her will — no, Yan would beat Moira in an instant.

Grey watches her appraising gaze, some part of him wondering what she sees there. "Bouncer," he answers with a little shrug, before setting his glass back down. He wasn't usually one to feel as if that wasn't a 'good enough' career, but something about this woman gave him just a small twinge of it. "Meet a lot of drunk assholes. Some sober ones, too." He flashes a grin at that. "Not many classy enough to drink gin."

Moira smiles at that, perhaps surprising herself at the action. Rarely does she meet people so... normal. "Yes, I imagine the drunk population is rather idiotic, though not lacking in entertainment." She has seen drunk colleagues over the years, herself included — always idiotic, always entertaining. As she glances down toward her glass, that smile turns into something more akin to a smirk. "Is that what you would call it, classy?"
