Why Loki has a Lightning Kink
If you’ve watched Thor: Ragnarok you might have noticed that the God of Thunder gets knocked out pretty fast and heavy from being shocked by the obedience disc only for a few seconds, but when we see Loki being shocked continuously, he stays conscious. How come Loki takes it so much better?
Well, if we remember what the Grandmaster said about those discs, one thing sticks out. That it causes ‘pleasure’ for certain people. We also know what kind of look he gave Loki, friendly reminder:
Yes, we all know what that look means. So, it’s pretty safe to assume that in one way or another, those two had something going on, which is why Loki became his favorite within a matter of two weeks.
And look at Loki’s reaction. He’s clearly uncomfortable being looked at like that because he’s embarrassed, he doesn’t reply, just looks at Thor to see if he noticed what this implies.
The real thing I am taking from this, however, is that the Grandmaster 100% used the obedience disc on Loki and given that Loki can take several hours of being shocked with it without passing out or suffering from any damage, we can assume that he used them often and regularly. And one way or another, Loki must have reacted in ways that gained him his favor.
Then, when Thor tricks him and shocks him continuously, Loki still moves, he still tries to break free from the paralyzed state he is in. Thor never managed that, not even one time. He just wiggled like a fish on land and fell unconscious. If Loki can just stay fully awake and conscious all this time, he must have gotten used to being shocked for longer periods.
So, how does this affect Loki and his Lightning Kink? Hm, take a guess...
You see that smile right there, when he sees Thor cast lightning from the sky? Say what you want, but this was not only a proud smile. In this moment Loki realized that the obedience disc might not be the only shocking pleasure out there. Whether it was all consensual or not on Sakaar is up to you, but this is a pretty good proof that yes, Loki has one hell of a lightning kink. He got addicted to being shocked and he’s ready to try a different way of doing it.
