Anyone else remember when I made an AU to the Lightyear movie (about 3/4 years ago) that I promised to continue but then actually never really did...

Lightyear au with Woody, because I got inspired by artwork by @komodoze
Buzz crash lands on a planet and turns out it's the wild west. His ship is a wreck, but he wanders for a while until he's found by someone in a pancho and a cowboy hat
Not a friendly, because the stranger sees his outstretched hand and uses it to pull him in to get a knee to the stomach and then thrown to the ground. Turns out Woody's just as confused and freaked out as Buzz, but more because of Buzz falling from the sky, yapping about space and nonsense(to Woody), and Sox. Just Sox
Woody's not about talking about stuff, but he gets Buzz's life story and by the end, he's more surprised that he actually kinda believes it
Woody is known for being a stand-up of standoffish guy. He lends a hand, he makes sure there's food for mothers and their babes, that the men working come home and get the money they labored their backs off for, that people have their castle and chickens and have water because they should live
He also helps EVERYONE, not just the townspeople, and here's where I piggybsck on @komodoze ; he's familiar with indigenous tribes to the point they see him coming toward them either on horseback or on foot. He's made sure they aren't attacked by the town sheriff and seems by with food or blankets for them, whatever they'll let him give because he needs to eat too
Woody swears and says things Buzz thinks it's so weird and confusing; "Quit throwing your 'blast' around! Drop a hammer on yourself, you don't say 'blast!' You're a grown man! Talk like one, dammit!" "You are nuttier than my aunt's squirrel collection."
Woody is a wanted man not because of any serious laws he broke(even though he did break those laws), but because the corrut sheriff of the town sees him as a threat to his power. People will get inspired by him and that's trouble for the sheriff, and he doesn't want Woody stirring the pot more than he has
Woody has a few people that are on his side and couch for him and carry what he does forward, most notably Jessie, who also flirts with Buzz and asks if it hurt when he fell from Heaven(because he crash landed), and the Prospector, who keeps everyone up to date on Woody's whereabouts and what not
Woody still has the "gangly" walk/run. He got a leg injury that didn't heal QUITE right. Doesn't hurt or anything, just makes running and walking tricky because he has some balance issues
Buzz and Woody Concept.
After escaping a previous scene involving the Robot Aliens, Buzz and Woody stay at a hotel for the night but wake up to the loud noises of the robot aliens that were following them. This causes them to flee the area while buzz leaves his armor back at the hotel, while as woody just leaves his nap sack that was filled with everything they needed.
In the art, Buzz is supposed to be pulling Woody away from harm and getting themselves to safety.
Also, they slept together apparently. (Not in a bad way, just like sleeping in bed)
I did some color palettes. 1st row: My Lightyear SI walking in the woods and Lightyear Nos pondering about something 2nd row: A quick Lightyearfication of Warp, and XL is confuzzled 3rd row: Rocket being his usual smug self and Mira Nova reporting for duty

Woody wakes up with messy hair and is like tired most of the time 🫡 bro needs his morning coffee to stay alive, he would drink either an Espresso or Americano
Buzz wakes up early and can stay up late and won't be tired, Buzz likes himself some Cappuccino or some tea
Also Slinky exists in this AU because Woody also needs his own companion robot🙏 Woody would talk to him about his feelings
Hc that Buzz's fav season is winter/fall and Woody likes summer/spring
Buzz would be a good cook and Woody is just the instant ramen type of guy, Buzz ends up cooking Woody food most of the time because yes :)

It's been a while since I've done a Lightyearification so I decided to do Zurg. "But MYrA! Zurg is already in the movie!" Yeah well, in the case the mech suit isn't him, and NO, old man Buzz ain't him either. They confirmed that on Twitter. I decided to take a crack at his humannoid look by combining some elements from Toy Story, BLOSC and his mech look. And have some ship art too cause I haven't drawn them in forever
I haven't drawn my Lightyear Nos design since March so I finally did :^)
I need to work on my Lightyear AU again cause I have him working for Zurg and they're old friends. He doesn't travel with Zurg and my SI but you could consider them still a trio dumbasses kshjshdjshj
