Wanted to give some attention to my other Lmk Ocs Long and Red ❤️
This art piece is of them in the last cycle before the current LMK timeline. The other two with them are Six and Stone. They are Macaque and Wukong in the last cycle.
[A cute little detail I want to mention is that Six and Stone were married in that Cycle. So technically, ShadowPeach was something that happened]
Remember the story in the show that Xiangliu told about the people in the cave. I decided to make that moment very relevant. In my head that event should be marked as before the creation of the Pillar of Heaven. Seeing that in the story, there were 5 individuals in the cave, I decided those individuals would be the four celestial primates and Xiangliu.
My twist on it is that when Xiangliu was rejected by them. He dragged one of them out in the hope that they would understand.
The Long-Arm Gibbon stayed behind, protecting the other two. While Red-Buttock Baboon was the one dragged out, she had seen the “Sun” but instead of being elated like Xiangliu, she was horrified and ran back inside the cave.
After that, the Pillar of Heaven was created, and the world restarted. When the restart happened, it separated the 4 Celestial Primates and Xiangliu because he was away from them when it happened while the 4 of them were holding onto each other.
Red could never forget what she saw. That experience gave her the ability to remember her past lives.
Cycles 🔁 continue, and Red realizes that she is always destined to encounter every cycle’s variations of the Long-Arm Gibbon, Intelligent-Stone Monkey, and Six-Eared Macaque.
Red and Long always fall in love with each other, but unfortunately they always end up in a star-crossed Lover dynamic.
It was the 6th cycle (drawing above). Red found Stone, and Long found Six.
Red treated Stone like a little brother. She was always fond of the Stone Monkey. Since they always had a sibling dynamic each cycle. Long treated Six like a little sister. He adored her more than life itself.
Long and Six found a village of Monkey People, and they were welcomed. Six later encountered Stone and Red and brought them back to the village. Life was great for the 4 of them.
This was Red’s favorite cycle since she had everything she wanted. Her lover by her side, family (Stone and Six), and a community/place she could call home.
Until the Pillar of Heaven broke and Chaos/Evil was leaking into the world. A few days later, they were met by Xiangliu (who went by a different name) asked them if they would want to use this opportunity to obtain true power and possibly save their home from what was happening. They accepted, and with the help of Six’s abilities, they found Hundun.
Hundun pretty much took the four of them as followers. After being associated with them, their eyes later turn gold. With their help, Hundun got rid of the other 3 Evils. While the world continued to be engulfed in Chaos, Hundun eventually appealed to Red into a deal.
The deal did cost her almost everything, but she managed to keep Long by her side.
Long story short, in the end, Red and Long were sealed away along with Hundun after Nuwa rebuilt the Heavenly Pillar. [I will cover more later.]
Macaque and Wukong did not know there were supposed to be 2 other Celestial Primates in existence.
When Hundun was creating Lihua, he had Six in mind as a foundation for Lihua’s appearance. This creates more angsty moments when Red and Long eventually meet her.
[When I mean cycles I mean one's life span in this case.]
