Another day (1/2)

I’M ALIVE!!!

WOW this took way longer than I expected!!!

Anyways, let’s get into the story!

Macaque does have nightmares from time to time about Lady Bone Demon because of his unfinished business with her. His worst fear is losing Lihua/being unable to keep her safe.

Wukong knows that Macaque has nightmares but doesn’t know what exactly it’s about. He did ask Macaque about it but Macaque didn’t want to tell him. Wukong just learned not to push the topic since he wanted to avoid conflict.

Wukong still feels bad that he can’t be the person to comfort Macaque since Macaque has him at arms length.

Little Lihua is very observant and knows her father is upset. On a side note, Lihua can speak some words at this point and if you do care about the minor details/info. She can walk, just not a pro at it yet. Lihua is a late bloomer lol.

Nezha has arrived to defeat the beast! He is dreading this battle since the compass lead him to Flower Fruit Mountain. Nezha has not seen Wukong in a few centuries.

The Incident is almost here! After that there will be a time skip to child Lihua, to cover her time in the Celestial Realm then it’ll jump to present lmk Lihua.

In the meantime, I’ll be making a post about a Q and A, I think it’ll be fun to interact yall.

The “Talk”

Some context/lore:

After back wakes up from his 3 month nap, he finally had to talk to Wukong.

At that point in time, Macaque doesn't trust Wukong and Wukong is very aware of this.

Macaque had things he would like to keep to himself like, A) His deal with lbd, B)how he got Lihua.

Wukong as much as he wants to know about Lihua and how Macaque came back, he also knows that to much happened between them that asking would only push Macaque away.

Apart from both of them still wants the closeness they had shared for thousands of years and that could have happened if they were able to effectively communicate with each other and be honest. But with the guilt, pride and shame both are still holding on to (heavy on Macaque), in their perspective it seemed better to ignore the "elephant in the room".

In a way Lihua being there helped them ignore the tension between them.

That was until the Jade Emperor and by extension

Tao had their attention on Lihua.

The peaceful life Wukong, Macaque and Lihua had crumbled instantly after Lihua gets taken to the Celestial Realm by Nezha.

I'll get deep into that part later but just know the aftermath of that incident, Macaque takes Lihua and leaves FFM.]

Lihua being a baby/toddler only have vivid memories of that life and the incident in the celestial realm.

Lihua Birth/Creation

In case some of you forgot, Hundun the god of Chaos created Lihua when Macaque was in the middle of being resurrected.

This is basically what Macaque saw when Hundun created Lihua.

Why did Hundun make Macaque a child?

Hundun is sealed away and needed a way out.

When Macaque was at his lowest Hundun appeared via Macaque's past hearing which lead to Macaque to creating a ritual of communicate with him. Macaque made a deal with him, apart of the deal was for him to help break Hundun out of the seal. (Classic Macaque lol) Hundun fused his power, Macaque hair and something else (which will be relevant later) to make a baby that will serve as his key to freedom. [To let Hundun free, Lihua with her chaos power would have to break the seal from the outside]

Hundun and Lihua's "Family" relationship will be a very complicated one. This will be explored later but to give yall a heads up it very toxic because you know, he is a villain ). Hundun is the type of villain who's evil just to be evil, no sad backstory, no redemption. Talk no jutsu fif you know what that means, nice will not affect him.

[On a side note, I been having less time to draw but I still will do my best to post art. I have a few other drawings to finish. A few of them will be new Imk ocs I made. Also Lihua background story will change a bit. It little comics of Lihua l been making will be posted infrequently because they take longer to make. I'm going to start jumping around Lihua's timeline lol.]

Shadowpeach Domestic Life Arc 🍐

Glimpse of how the next 20 years look after Macaque agreed to stay at Flower Fruit Mountain.

The stay was initially going last a month but Macaque had missed his home. It brought him comfort to stay in a place familiar to him.

Macaque did not bring up any plans to leave FFM and Wukong never asked as he did want him to leave. They both missed being around each other but neither would admit it.

Even though I mentioned Shadowpeach in this post. Things are still very complicated between the two during this time. But they were able to live with each other on friendly terms because they avoided talking about the issue between them.

[lt a fragile foundation to start off rebuilding on what they had. It will eventually crumble because of it.]

Wukong adding himself in Macaque and Lihua life made raising Lihua easier. He had made himself a unofficial parental figure to Lihua, Macaque didn't say anything about it because he didn't see the harm at the moment.

Lihua was a really late bloomer when reaching her baby milestone. So Wukong was there for the majority of the time to witness it with Macaque.

Yes Lihua called Wukong her Papa and it really surprised him. She calls Macaque her Dada.

How did she know what to say?

Macaque and Wukong were telling different words for father that she might be able to say. Papa and Dada stuck so that's what she said.

More Wukong and Baby Lihua moments.

I would think that Wukong would also have a hard time caring for Lihua considering raising a baby is something Wukong and Macaque never done before.

Baby Lihua will eventually get used to Wukong.

Lore drop:

Macaque had told Wukong that him and Lihua staying with him would be temporary but Wukong went a head and made a room for Lihua and Macaque in the cave behind the waterfall.

The concept of Lihua Kaiju form is made to look less threatening than Macaque’s . In my head a Kaiju form is based of how the person sees themselves and the state of mind they have.

Lihua at this point is a good with the flow type of person for the majority of the time. She was brought up this way, while also being taught by Nezha that violence should be someone’s last resort and so her values lean more pacifist.

Being in the Celestial Realm around Celestial beings, most found her adorable. Dressed her in Hanfu dresses when they could snatch her away from Nezha. She did enjoy wearing them.

Which is why she’s dressed in a Hanfu dresses.

No much was expected from her.

Macaque never pushed her to being something she didn’t want to be.

Wukong at one point (kinda) jokingly asked Lihua to be his successor but she didn’t want that. He drop the topic.

Nezha didn’t push her in becoming a Celestial Maiden when offered by the Jade Emperor. (Even though he believed Lihua would make a good addition to the Celestial Realm).

Lihua in her current mindset, is just a Immortal Mystic Monkey. Enjoy life with her father, her aunt PIF and cousin Red Son. On occasion Wukong and Nezha. Later on Mk and the others.

She is at peace with herself.

Ignorance is bliss.

🍐 Lihua and Wukong ☀️

Wukong and Lihua's relationship:

Wukong cares very much for Lihua, when Macaque and Lihua were living with Wukong. He spent a lot of time with her. She is like a daughter to him.

After baby Lihua got used to Wukong, she loved spending time him.

They would have had a great father-daughter relationship sooner if Macaque didn't prevent Wukong from seeing Lihua after The Incident.

Despite Macaque's wishes, he still made an effort to be in Lihua life just not as himself.

He transformed into his Butterfly form when Lihua was a toddler and introduced himself as Sunny.

Lihua cared about Sunny a lot. While growing up she still wasn't aware that Sunny was Wukong.

Macaque was aware of this but let "Sunny" be around his daughter since he did feel bad for up and leaving with Lihua.

[Fun Fact: Lihua's monkey plushie is named Peach/ Peaches. Wukong made Peaches and gift it to Lihua when she was a baby. He did also name it.]
