A knowing smile creeps upon the Outsider's pale lips. He recognizes the back-handed compliment -- he’s heard it all before from those whom he’s allowed the privilege of meeting him in person. It’s hardly an insult any more... not that any rude words mean much to the Void’s deity anyways.
Arms fold behind the young god’s back, just as always, as he begins to pace around the archangel. Curious black eyes scanning every inch of Lucifer -- he understands just how his curiosity must read: disrespectful, outrageous, ill-mannered and uninformed among a long list of other things... Yet he continues his circle, deliberately so.
This comparison didn’t come from nowhere -- if the Outsider is as devlish as they say, then he is certain that the true hellion himself should be smart enough to understand exactly what the Void god was doing. The normally sassy deity was hardly one for petty back-and-forths; casting back an insult disguised as a compliment would only feed the other’s idea that the Outsider was not worthy of being mistaken for Lucifer, anyways. So, he opts to leave quiet little hints for the lord to sniff out on his own, instead.
This blatant disregard for manners was perhaps the mistake of a meek little creature who was caught up in a mess much larger than he was... Or perhaps there was something more to the one who didn’t simply look the part.
He allows Lucifer’s response to roll off his back, standing once again face-to-face with the angel himself. “Understandably so. You virtually overpower me through your magnificence alone. You simply need to stand there and I find myself awed by your very grandeur.”
