Just got told that in America, middle schoolers don't get time outside??? They get a break, but not time outside??? Is this true

Despite the fact that she redeemed herself in later seasons by growing into a great woman, a little part of me will never forgive Haley for leaving. The reason is because I watched this as it aired (although I stopped when the wb became the cw because my stupid cable company didn't carry that channel) and I got my heart broken when she left. I was completely on Nathan's side. It still stings, Haley, it still stings.
