anyone else find themselves profoundly world-wearied by trying to watch a "women be like" comedy?
#i watched death becomes her#can't recommend#quite a few movies fall into this category#a handful of which are redeemed somewhat by their charm#like clueless#also redeemed by themes of 'why is this girl so in her box get a grip'#i haven't watched how to lose a man in ten days but i remember it as incredibly charming#i think also a loose adaptation of a classic?#i don't remember what but i vaguely remember my voice teacher giving me a rundown of an opera or something#and i was like 'like how to lose a guy in ten days'#and she was like 'what'#shit now i'm wondering if it's just guys and dolls#a women be like comedy that loses more luster every passing year
