On the narufox vs canon, how would the Obitos react to each other?

I love that right now in Hakuouki: Stories of the Shinsengumi I am at the point in Souji’s route where both him and Chizuru are more or less thinking this about the other:

“They are the most important person in my life (in a romantic sense), but I can’t hope for my feelings to be reciprocated and that is okay.”

And of course this is followed by “I am going to dedicate my life to them, but I can’t hope for them to do the same and that is okay” (completely consciously for Chizuru, less so for Souji because at this point Kondo is still is top priority yet he willingly took several bullets for Chizuru which is not 100% compatible with dedicating his life to Kondo only).

1) for me this is the peak of romance.

2) they both have a wonderfully delicious unhealthy attachement to each other that would make them extremely easy to abuse by their SO. But since they have the exact same (unhealthy) way of showing their love (dedication of one’s entire life, acts of service…), they are just right for each other (codependent but right).

3) it is hilarious (in a way that is both cute and tragic - my favorite).

I love them so much your honor. They are ridiculously in love.

(Also RIP to Yamazaki because having to deal with this day to day must be exhausting)
