so here we go, the main 3 reacting to the reader liking them! M!Reader in mind, but it's also GN!Reader
Jimmy:
He's not exactly 100% surprised
Everywhere he goes, it seems like someone has to like him
And in Bullworth he has more than enough options
But he'll admit, there's something... different about you
You're not annoyingly confident like Trent, or ashamed of your sexuality like Kirby is
He noticed it when you both had Chemistry the following year, and your station was right next to his
You're smart. He knows that. He's actually seen your notes and how organized they are because you've let him copy them down on multiple occasions
So why do you keep asking him for help?
In the beginning, he thought you were just being annoying. Or maybe you wanted something from him but didn't know how to work up to it
But then he noticed it whenever the class was meant to be put into pairs and you always went to him first. And how you always stood so close to him
It took a few days, but he finally asked you if you felt anything for him
And the flat out "no" actually took him by surprise
He thought he was just imagining everything until the rumors started going around that "Y/N likes the famous bad boy, Jimmy Hopkins"
So you just wanna play hard to get? That's fine by him. Jimmy always win, anyway
Pete:
There is like 0 confidence in this boy, so he's genuinely surprised when you start hovering around him
And also whenever you agree to hang out with him
I can't lie to you, he was over the moon to actually have a legit friend to hang out with. He finally feels normal
But then Russell's gang starts messing with him, as always
They kept poking at him, saying how Gary had been right, but they never thought there was anyone pathetic enough to actually date him
He doesn't match two and two together until they start dropping your name
He's too much in shock to even properly listen to them anymore. He actually never really considered you liking him at all
So when he asks you to hang out the next time, he brings it up
And he can admit, it breaks his heart when you deny any sort of romantic feelings for him
And he can admit, it hurts enough for him to go to Jimmy and bitch about it
Only to be called an idiot, because apparently even Jimmy knows you like Pete
So now Pete's conflicted, because he likes you too, but he's scared of telling you just in case you actually don't like him
Gary
He's got an ego bigger than Jupiter, and he knows how to read people very well
Being a sociopath has its perks
So when he notices you in English, taking glances in his direction, he's already got 15 different schemes he could use against you
Would you help him take over the school? Maybe cause some trouble with the jocks? He could always have you pull the fire alarm to get out of his upcoming test, too
He knows you like him, and it's only better that you stutter whenever he brings it up
Of course you tell him you don't feel anything for him. You'd be crazy to admit it
But you don't, and to him, it's a lot more fun
He doesn't care for relationships. Everyone knows that, including you
But you still made the mistake in getting feelings for him, and he's using that to his full advantage
He'll come around here and there, poking fun at you, asking if you're still having naughty thoughts about him
No matter how many times you send him on his way, he keeps coming back like a horrible disease
Then again, maybe you should start telling him you don't wanna do his stupid pranks, because you know it's giving him power over you
But ask anyway and they'll tell you it's hard to say "no" to Gary Smith
Don't start now, either. Because every time you actually comply with Gary, do whatever he says, and do it with perfect results? He might just start seeing you as his confidant, and with him, that means a lot more than a simple lover
