Another critique I have for Voicemails for Isabelle: i won't pretend I represent all women, but I think I would find it slightly disturbing if a guys response to me recreating a dish his dead mom used to make was to try to jump my bones. Like why would that be where his mind goes rather than just like. eating the whole plate of food.

Voicemails for Isabelle was good and significantly better/more unique/grounded than most Netflix originals have felt lately. But there was something strange about the dialogue where it would feel very real and natural and humanly idiosyncratic and then just be jarringly choppy. Like the editing or writing missed a stair.
