Thinking about Naruto just never getting better at cooking, can maybe make a couple of dishes at most or maybe literally all he can make is cup ramen
So Sasuke just takes over the cooking over the years, and it’s actually a fun bonding experience for them, he actually really enjoys Naruto sitting on the counter, the two of them playfully bickering, the way Naruto’s eyes light up when he has him taste test something that’s coming out perfectly, just really enjoying it all
I’m also picturing other people trying to force gender roles on the whole thing, by which I mean them being convinced that Sasuke can’t possibly enjoy cooking so much, so they’re just like “isn’t it going to be so great when one day you won’t have to do any of this cooking stuff again when the two of you get wives?”
Which ends up just kickstarting for Sasuke that he doesn’t want to lose this at all, it actually makes him feel physically sick at the thought that he’d never get Naruto on his counter again making a meal “together” (possible light prep from Naruto, not allowed to touch anything on the stove), so he rushes over to him to ask him out before anyone can “steal” Naruto away from him
(And obviously Naruto says yes)
