so badly want someone to like make a compilation of all the g/t moments between Galactus and the others
There’s literally a compilation of g/t Galactus moments running through my brain at all times since I watched this movie. Galactus standing to his full height was enough for me. You have no idea
Put the horses out of their misery, they dont deserve this they're such good boys can we just kill them all out of compassion? Would that fuck mother nature too bad?
Whenever I have comfort characters, I tend to project my problems onto them. So this is possibly very OoC for this specific character. @theangrycomet has written bits and pieces of "Let's Be Gems" and I want to focus on the one who came later into the group, Peridot!Dendy. This will also have some headcanons as to how the Bodega Gems interact with humans which may be false.
This is fanfiction of a fanfiction! Do not consider it canon to the AU!
D3ND groaned in displeasure as the Turquoise held her in place. A weird goopish substance was being placed on her light constructed body, and her sense sponge did not care for the smell it created.
"Calm down," the Turquiose chastised as he kept placing the weird goop. "You're one of us now. And we work with humans."
D3ND merely snorted.
"You're gonna have to call us by our chosen names too."
The peridot opened her mouth to retort, only to be met with a weird substance entering her mouth. It was a circular object with a little bit of a white stiff object poking out.
"Keep that in your mouth. Then you'll look more human."
D3ND grumbled. She didn't want to look more human.
"We're also going to have to give you a more human name. We can't just call you Peridot..." He thought out loud. "Let's see... there's Amko and Ruko... Kaio... Mr. Gar... Silver... Enide... I'm Rad..." He continued his musings as he moved to place the skin alterations onto her arms. She was looking closer to a pale, maybe white skin? Like a human.... She grunted and tried to move but it was near pointless, and the object in her mouth slipped to the back. Something she really didn't like the feeling of. But with her body unable to move, she couldn't move it. She tried to fight against the restraints of the telekenisis. She wanted to get free.
She needed to get free.
She should have never followed that Synthetic Alexandrite!
She should have never betrayed her superior's orders!
She should have told him in the first place.
Why couldn't she move?
She needed to move.
She needed to move!
"And done." Rad released her. He grabbed the thing in her mouth and it popped out. He looked at it curiously, and then threw it into a cylindrical, silver can. "Now you look perfectly human. Want to see?" He presented a mirror and D3ND only managed to get a horrified glance before she kicked his hand holding it.
It was too much. She looked like a human, and they hid her gem with some gawky extra fabric that she had no need for. Why hide her gem? Why insist she had to work for humans!?
"C'mon Dendy, we're gonna be late."
"Dendy?"
"Well, that'll be your new name. Your human codename."
D3ND glared at the turquoise as she was dragged along. She had no choice in the matter.
She was taken into a human store, with the other Gems there as well. Hiding their gems and patterns... She frowned even deeper as Rad pet her hair. "Dendy's all good to go. Do you want me to show her the ropes, Mr. Gar?"
"Sounds like a good plan Rad."
"Welcome to the team proper, Dendy."
The Peridot merely took a step away from the Blue Agate.
"Still a little rough around the edges." And he laughed.
She pouted and glared at him as he patted the Turquoise, who then grabbed her back and began to push her along.
Rad knealt beside her as they watched a few humans shop. "Now, you're going to be the one to assist them with bending over and getting things."
"What!?"
"You're small. And some of the older humans can't bend over. You see that older one over there? All hunched over? You're going to go over there and ask them what they need."
"But I don't-"
"It's easy. Imagine if a Diamond needed your help in getting something off of the ground. How would you approach your Diamond?"
D3ND was going to take a few moments to think but already she was being pushed towards the human. What were these looney gems thinking!?
You would never talk to a Diamond that way. A Diamond would never have to do that and if they did, they would ask a Pearl. D3ND was not made for this! She was made to look after a specific experiment and do her experiments that she needed to. Record and Report. Not ask questions. She was not a scholar.
Not ask to help someone. She was not a Pearl.
She didn't know what to do. Her body started to lock up, and yet start shaking uncontrollably. She adverted her eyes to the ground as the tremors continued all throughout her body. Her gem started to glow and a metal shelf began to shake almost as much as she was.
Then there was an instant.
Tunnel vision set in as D3ND raced passed the human. She just wanted to get away. Get away. To some place. Like a Kindergarten. Dark, plenty of hiding places. She ran to the back doors and shoved them open with her shoulder, not caring of disturbing Kaio with his work. She retreated into an open box, flipping it so that it covered her fully. She just needed protection away from these clods. Away from these humans. She didn't want anything else but safety.
It was as if she sunk and suddenly woke up in comfortable light. She blinked a bit as she began to think. She wanted protection. She thought she knew what she wanted. Over her light projected skin, mechanical armor began to form over her, kind of similar to the first thing on Earth she saw that enraptured her. Enide watching a strange box with colorful warriors that were powerful and protected. That was what D3ND desired...
She was out for a long time with Earth hours. And when they time came to reform, she felt so much better. Shielded in armor that none may penetrate.
Enide looked up and down at the new reformation first, with the others at the back. "Hue Troop?" She asked with a smile.
