Dehydrated Ganondorf/Phantom Ganon is such a cool concept but it was utilized so poorly in TotK. He came back to life in a desiccated body after being imprisoned for who knows how long. That is literally body horror. I think if they were going to give him that fate after being imprisoned by Rauru that he should have had an appropriate reaction to it, or at least should have behaved accordingly. If his body is desicated to that extent then his brain should also be long gone. Imagine on re-awakening his body, the Secret Stone takes over and reanimates his body like a zombie instead? He wanders and haunts Hyrule, the Secret Stone forcing this body to retread the same path he did when he was actually alive. He could have been like Calamity Ganon, but creepier. Instead he wakes up and literally picks up where he left off. What was even the point of the desiccated corpse then 😭 It’s not like Ganondorf is new to being imprisoned for long periods of time and coming out of it looking like he always does. Anyways.
