are the duffer brothers, cast, and st writers just, like... oblivious to the blatant homophobia within the fandom? i'm not saying that all mileven shippers or anti-bylers are homophobic, but the amount of times i've heard creators be glad to not be called homophobic slurs once they stopped posting byler content...
i just wish that could be addressed by them SOMEHOW. i know that this is largely the immature fans' fault, but the fact that no one has talked about or held the fandom accountable for it is kind of ignorant.
sorry if this sounds "too woke" or some shit (yes, i know, the fans should be able to handle themselves without having the creators have to call them out for bad behaviour like fucking elementary school teachers), the gaten interview just got me thinking how much do they actually know about wtf goes on in the fandom.
