So, as a fellow Nekuyan fan, is it me or is Shuumei/Mei definitely in the latest chapter remembering her time with Hana as Mei more fondly and thinking about it way more than as Shuumei? And it’s interesting to me that Soumei’s first thought to cheer her up was to let her go out as a girl! She also has what appear to be very dysphoria-adjacent thoughts about how she’s just ‘like them’ (those two men) underneath her clothes, wig, and makeup, even though the thing is that generally those kinds of people (men) wouldn’t want to do that.

As for other things…. I find it extra interesting that Hanae/Hana is being portrayed more cute/feminine than normal, even without crossdressing! I’m not sure whether it’s implying anything or not though!

no worries, i love getting asks and talking abt nkyn ^^ i thought something like that as well, while they do interact wayyyy more as hana and mei those few experiences she had as shuumei/his supposed "real" self is pretty much absent in the beginning flashbacks until he was thrown back into reality. and soumei too was so sweet, he did the same back in chapter 105 inviting her to go out as mei for a change of pace. the thoughts he had when those guys were talking abt her came off a bit like a dysphoric lament to me too that in the end she's "just like them" and owwww girl its fine

yuuma/hana these recent chapters has for sure been super duper cute i feel 😭 im guessing thats also more a bit of the effect of the slightly evolved artstyle compared to before rather than a conscious decision, but either way shes so adorable i could look at him forever skdjdh i felt shuumei when she went on that long monologue on how cute she was in my soul in ch117 (for when shes out as yuuma, her eyes have been drawn a bit bigger compared to his usual from older chapters to match hanas maybe...?)

i also chalk it up to how he gets extra meek when around mei DJHDHDJSKDH while i dearly miss hana/mei i rly love their m/f interactions too...., mei slapping her hand away when she offered her a handkerchief kinda hurt but i cant rly blame either of them 😭 this mess is coming apart like loose threads. yuzurun save them
