I've been watching old video game streams on YouTube for AC Valhalla because I don't have the time or the energy to play it again myself. Anyway, I do want to say how funny it is to hear this gamer dude playing male Eivor ask multiple times why Eivor is so short.
Gale: Clever to recruit Halsin, since he's a druid and I don't know about that sort of magic.
My druid character: 😶
bruh I’m sorry you keep getting asks from ppl who flat out didn’t even like. look at ur blog, especially when iirc your requests aren’t even open?? like it’s not that hard it literally says “masc/nonbinary reader inserts” rigth there !! first thing you see!
They're /technically/ open?? I just haven't had the mood to write bc brain go fucky wucky no fun allowed, but yeah its. Annoying.
Like I get that they might be liked a story of mine they run into and rushed to request but-- bruh the disrespect 😭
You ever just be reading some greek mythology and go 'wow, that's not madness, that's literally PTSD'
i had another one of those ‘frantically check the car doors are all locked’ moments when the dude in the car in front of mine as we were stopped waiting for the train to pass started physically hitting his own car and furiously flipping everything in site off, enough for the car to be physically bouncing on the road b/c he was, apparently, mad??? we’d gotten caught at the closed train barriers??? that were down for a whole 2 minutes of time???
uhm
i understand the sentiment behind GRRM’s quote about “doing shocking things solely for the purpose of shock value”...
really, i do.
but given his tendency toward writing gratuitous physical and sexual violence against women into virtually all of the books in the asoiaf universe...
it’s kind of difficult to take seriously.
