Amy March’s speech on Marriage as an Economic Prospect was the most thoughtful and eloquent version of “of course i support men’s rights... men’s rights to Shut the Fuck Up” in modern history and that’s that on THAT.

the kind of people that hate Amy March are the same kind of people that hate Sansa Stark and honestly you don’t really need either of those kind of people in your life.
i absolutely LOVE the part in Little Women where Jo asks Laurie if she can call him Teddy and then gets this HUGE SMILE on her face like she’s accomplished something amazing when he says yes, because i am pretty sure she could have asked if she could call him Bitch Face bin Laden and he still would have been like “yes... you absolutely may... i will give you anything you want... flowers? a foot rub?! my hOUSE?!? thE MOON?!!? JUST LMK!!!”
you know what really just absolutely KILLS ME about the whole damn Shied-Madi plot?!? it PROVES that Clarke was right about the Flame...
she was right to want to keep that shit as far away from her kid as possible.
she was right to have Madi getting the Flame be her worst nightmare.
she was right to do everything in her power to protect Madi from the Flame.
she was right, the Flame was toxic and malicious and destructive and left nothing but pain and nightmares and trauma in it’s wake.
she was right to think that the Flame would be nothing but a burden on Madi and tear her apart from the inside out.
Clarke was right the whole time... But no one will ever say that. No one will ever talk about that. No one will ever acknowledge that. Instead she’ll just keep apologizing for doing everything she could to protect her child and keep feeling guilty for doing the only thing she could to save Madi from danger and possibly death under the circumstances and keep being ganged up on and criticized and brow-beaten and keep forgiving everyone around her but never forgiving herself and never receiving any in return until freaking Praimfaya comes around again and i’ll just die mad about it.
Actual Footage™ of House Stark during season 8:
there is n o t h i n g more annoyingly ironic than when creators/showrunners treat audiences like they are dumb for their theories and speculation and then fandom theories end up being 500% more innovative and interesting than whatever tf nonsense they come up with.
i will always and forever, steadfastly and resolutely, until my dying day, with my last breath maintain that “giving” a female character as a reward to a male character for growing, changing, or evolving into a semi decent human being is basically the fictional version of a dude saying “i paid for dinner so you should fuck me” after a date irl.
it is so. fucking. difficult. to try to explain to people who have never been depressed that you are not going to be able to define depression for them in any terms they will be able to understand or relate to because it is literally impossible to explain the absence of feelings.
like... how do you even go about trying to describe nothing?
