Summary: One week and three days.
Only one week and three days have passed since Salim escaped the Sumerian’s ruins. Only one week and three days, but it felt like an eternity. But when he saw a body, one he would recognize above all, laying down in front of Badra he should have guessed that the demons weren’t far away; and they weren’t the ones he was expecting.
The cold and bitter reality threw Salim out of his sweet cloud.
When Jason leaned upon him sooner with what seemed like a sudden hunger for his lips, the Iraqi froze; shocked. He never thought his guest would nourish such desire about him. How could he have? Since the man fell before Badra two days ago, he has been wondering if he wasn’t the only one pleased by the unexpected turn of events.
Of course, Jason was glad to find a sympathetic shape and smile here, but it couldn’t be more? Could it?
The lips pressed against his, the mouth devouring his with passion and hunger, and the hands upon his body disagreed with his prejudices.
At first, Salim’s body was paralyzed under stupefaction. His eyes opened wide, almost fled out of him as his breathing stopped. He felt himself suffocating, before the warmness of the Jason’s hands and of his desperate kiss won him over.
Before he could even think about it, the Iraqi placed his fingers on his friend’s hips. The American’s tongue instantly slid between Salim’s lips when…
Someone knocked on the front door.
In a blink of an eye, Salim withdrew and the desire which grew in his guts disappeared. Without a word, he protectively eyed at his friend then jumped out of the bed. “Stay here, I will handle it.”
He rushed out of the bedroom, tidied himself up the best way he could then reached the entrance of his house. His mind almost forgot the kiss and how sweet Jason’s lips were against his, as he took a deep breath.
It could be Nuha, although unlikely since she didn’t call him first. Maybe it was another neighbor, despite neither of them being close to the man. Or, in the worst case, the Republican Guard came here, in the middle of the night, to interrogate and arrest him.
His fingers tightened on the door handle, his breathing calmed itself for Jason’s sake, and he opened his house to the one waiting outside.
