He had been wrestling with his feelings for a while and wasn’t sure how to tell her how he felt, but then she goes and says that and it makes him giddy like a school boy. Kelly laughs, not in a mocking way but more of a happy way. He ducks his head, rubbing the back of his neck before dropping his hand by his side. “You too, huh?” He looks at her, smiling. “Good because I think i’m falling in love with you too, Cameron. I didn’t want to say it first just in case you didn’t feel the same way, but now that I know that you feel the same way I’m happy.”

Truth be told, she hadn’t even been purposely trying to scare her mother in the first place. She’d just happened to enter the room and start talking when Teddy was least expecting the company, and bam.
