So guess what I did today?? I WENT OUT SHOPPING 🛍 with my cousin?!! This was my first time in 14 months a) doing anything like this, and b) going out somewhere without someone I live with (the only place I’ve been sans my immediate household was my grandparents for tea with my cousins down the road) and IT WAS GLORIOUS!! My truly wonderful cousin @grace_morgann_ took me for a day out together just us, and it was amazing 🥰 I’m super grateful that I got this incredible young woman as my cousin and my friend... especially when she deals with seizure protocol briefings outside Next and trying on tiaras with me in Claire’s accessories 😂 We did actually end up buying a Princess headband each 😂! For other vulnerable people coming out of shielding; we picked the right time to go to Mcarthurglen, when it was nice and quiet. There was lots of space to social distance. Everyone wore masks inside the shops, and a lot of people walking in between them (this included me; I suspect even when it’s not mandatory I’ll be wearing masks in certain situations for my own safety and peace of mind), and there was alcohol gel galore. I thought I would be more anxious, but I was enjoying myself far too much to get stressed! Admittedly, I’m definitely not ready for a crowded Primark yet though (for my safety or my sanity).
