“Alright it’s my first day, I don’t know where a fucking thing is or who the hell anyone is but I am here to help and you clearly all need it what with all the... emotion, going on so. Just this once. Tell me what to do.” Never let it be said that Lilith didn’t know how to make an entrance as she sauntered into the staff room already in her scrubs. 

“Lilith Baxter, new head of urology but I’m guessing for a collapsed building and plane crash victims you don’t exactly need that specialty.”

“Right can someone tell me where Hayes is because I was told she was out of surgery and yet I can’t see her on any of the surgical boards which is either gross incompetence or she’s been moved elsewhere.” Lilith knew she was potentially about to make a scene but she also couldn’t quite bring herself to care. One look at her would show she’d clearly been crying and she was still dressed for work highlighting that she’d been yet to leave despite the hour.

“Come in or fuck off, either way do stop dawdling in the doorway it wastes everyone’s time and you’re creating a draft.” If Lilith had shown any sign that she knew someone was at her office door prior to speaking then it was fairly well hidden. She didn’t even look up from her paperwork as she spoke just carrying on as she waited to see if they’d come in.
