Illadyia has made... a number of remarks that suggest she’d like to mother him, and he is DEEPLY uncomfortable with that idea. He’s been an independent adult for over 200 years now, the concept of someone swooping in and making decisions for him presses every one of his anti-authority buttons. And unfortunately, as an orphan who was raised in a non-familial structure, that’s all he thinks parents are; someone who tells you what and how to think until you are old enough to think for yourself.
Not to mention, she’s a Kal’dorei. She may have good intentions, but she simply doesn’t know anything about Sin’dorei culture, so how could she be a good parent to him (or Blagden) if she knows nothing of the people he’s apart of? She’s made a number of small, off-hand comments that he feels have been casually, unconsciously condescending regarding Sin’dorei, so... yeah. He’s sure that she doesn’t actually mean harm, but well, the road to Fel is paved with good intentions....
