"Well, that is slightly soothing to hear."
Rick frowned and slowly brought the woman into a hug, allowing her to rest her chin on his shoulder. "--You okay?"

"Well, that is slightly soothing to hear."

{From Lily, lillian-caul} "I miss you."
“I..I miss you too, Lilly.”
We've been lonely for too long.
Headcanon #3. “If you love Rick now, then love him forever. Make him laugh again, and cherish the time you spend together. Take walks and ride your bikes, curl up on the couch. Make him breakfast, but don't spoil him. Pancake Sundays were a bust, but that was always our family time. Let him make breakfast for you as well, so he can show you he thinks you're special. Kiss him and make love to him and consider yourself lucky for having met him, for he's the kind of man who'll prove you right."
{Loosely based on "Safe Haven", book and film}. Before Lori passed away, she took a moment to sit down one day and write out a bunch of letters to her family, just in case. Just in case she would not be there, she wrote a letter for Justice's wedding day, and when she really met the man of her dreams, for all those big moments and some small ones. She wrote ones to Carl, for when he would begin dating and when he felt the world may be ending entirely; And, she wrote some for Rick. For when he felt he couldn't make it on his own, for those days where he felt so hopeless...and for when he finally found someone to take the burden of his agony away..."For Her". After a series of unfortunate and fortunate events, months and months down the line, that would bring Lilly and Rick closer together, he ended up giving this letter to her. Never having read it himself, Lori had delicately placed out basically how happy she was that Rick found someone again, that her family could be whole once more, that there wouldn't be a huge burden with her missing in their lives; that Rick and Carl and Justice and Judith would all be taken care of. "To her," the letter reads. "To the woman he loves, it must be true, because he gave you this letter. He loves you without a shadow of a doubt or else he wouldn't have given this to you. I can only hope that you feel the same way about him that he does about you. I wanted to write this letter because I wanted you to know one very important thing; I'm so glad he's found you. I only wish I could be there some how to meet you, and maybe in some ways I am. Outside of my husband and my three beautiful children, you are the most important person in the world to me because I am gone and they are yours now. You need to take care of them; make them laugh, hold them when they cry, stand up for them, and teach them wrong from right. The thought of you it gives me hope; hope that Rick remembers what it feels like to be young and in love, hope that Carl finds someone to fish with again, hope that Justice has someone to help her on her wedding day. I hope that one day my family will be whole again. And most of all hope that somehow I'm there with all of you, watching over all of you."
{Lilly-muse} placed a gentle hand upon his shoulder. "Calm down about the peas, Rick."
"Sorry.. Someone questioned the peas and I was gettin’ riled up..—"
{From: lillian-caul} "Don’t look at me like that."
“What? We’re alone, weaponless, and it’s pitch-dark out here. I say it’s a little normal to be worried!” She viciously whispered, raising an eyebrow at Lilly.
↹ {for my Lilly Caul; lillian-caul}
Lilly's body hit the wall with a thud. Carley was astonished that she was able to put Lilly under such... submission. Lilly and Carley had their share of arguments and misunderstandings, but she never imagined she'd be in a position like this.
May as well take advantage of it while it lasts.
"You piss me off. A lot."
She whispered, leaning in to Lilly's ear.
"But sometimes, I like that."
