☾ BEAUTIFUL MOON ☽ / LILLY BURNS DOLL EYE ART PIECE

Lilly Burns, Beautiful Moon. An art piece based on the mysterious women that is Lilly. Symbolically, the butterfly represents her life and death as fleeting as a butterfly, as well as has associations towards the Pastery art piece also featuring butterflies. Mother like daughter, am I right?

This art piece is also based off the character Mizuki Kanzaki as I see her and Lilly being very similar to one another. Their elusiveness, their loneliness, their beauty that stuns the soul. The title of this art is based off Mizuki’s nickname (provided by Johnny Bepp of course). I think it fits.

One of my achievements was using a new style of shading, which included the base shade which I did not use my traditional black for, and a white coat to represent the light. After that I applied my other shades to it. All and all, I feel like it looks quite mesmerizing, which is the goal for drawing such a dignified lady.

It’s nice to draw after a weeks break.
