I can’t be the little spoon

Same that I don’t like your toes tracing on my ankles

Or you braiding my hair

Well when I had long hair

I don’t like it when girls blow on my ear

Not that I want guys doing that either

But I know you like being big spoon

Because you like your tummy warm

So I let you hold me close until you go

But only once in a blue moon

I let you press hot air on my ear

And you still play with my hair even though its short

But not the toes on my ankle

Thats just fucking weird and your feet are cold

I let you do the other things though

And it should be obvious why

Because we watch villanelle

And you talk about confidence

How you wish you were at that level

And I just wish you would let me put you back together

But I should probably do that myself first

Cause I know you don’t love me

Not that way I mean

Cause I look in your eye

And I see someone just wanting safety

And afraid of getting hurt by someone else

Shattering something that has been attacked from your start

Because its happened so many times

Like furniture in a Jackie chan flick

And you look at me as something that won’t break you

And you love me for not being the world with a stick

Because I’m used to puzzles

And I can bash the pieces back into place

So Its okay that you to big spoon me
