Hey :) this may be a bit of a loaded question but I met this guy out the other night and we hit it off really well. He wants to meet up this week but the thing is I have a limb deficiency and I don't think he knows/noticed last time. I have had some bad experiences with stuff like this and I'm so nervous to meet him because I'm scared he'll freak out etcAny advice? Thank you xx
Hey there, I think you should meet up with him anyway! You don’t have to tell him everything straight away, you can take it slow, at your own pace. Tell him when you’re ready. If he asks you of course, you should be straight with him and tell him exactly how you are, but honestly, I wouldn’t be super nervous. You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone until you’re ready. If he’s a decent guy, he won’t freak out. See how it goes first and if you like him enough to tell him :) Good luck!

Research on upper limb prostheses
Dear Tumblrverse,
Do you have a trans-radial (between wrist and elbow) limb deficiency? I am a graduate student at the University of Colorado Denver studying how people use their upper limb prosthetic devices. I am conducting a survey and I would very much appreciate your help.
The goal of this study is to learn more about which types of daily living tasks are most difficult to perform with a prosthetic arm. The results of this study will be used to determine the future direction of upper-limb prosthesis research.
In order to take part in this survey you must meet the following criteria:
Have a trans-radial upper limb deficiency (amputation or congenital)
Be between the age of 18 and 65
Be healthy and active and spend at least 4 hours each week performing moderate to heavy activity (such as sports or outdoor activities)
Have experience using at least one prosthetic device
Be willing and able to give consent to participate in the study
If you meet these criteria please fill out the survey below
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ProsthesisSurvey
The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete. Thank you limb-deficient tumblypoos, you have my eternal gratitude!
