Trying to come up with a design for Skeleboogey here was…. difficult…

I didn’t want to just make a normal human-looking skeleton for Boogey cuz that’s just not how he rolls lol. And I felt like removing all of Boogey’s hairiness and roundness would kinda make him look less like Boogey. Then I remembered that Boogey himself is semi-based on spiders and then remembered that bugs have exoskeletons. So I took that idea and ran with it.

Essentially he looks like he’s *wearing* a human skeleton. Ya know! Kinda like bug exoskeletons because they have their hard shell-like bones on the outside and squishy parts on the inside! Now this doesn’t actually mean that he’s actually wearing a skeleton. All the bones are definitely still a part of his body just shapeshifted and reformed to better fit his large size. A lot of these doodles are pretty rough but I hope I made the design come off a lil good lol.

Also decided to make a funny little comic about Boogey “showing off” his shapeshifting skills to Ivy, while also being an ass-hat about it. He may be pretending but he’s more than happy to shapeshift for his friends :)

Also Also so sorry this took SOOOOOO long to reply too. Been having a very slow and difficult time trying to get motivated to draw. But I think doodling this Skeleboogey kinda helped out with that! Hopefully by the time December pasts I can get some energy…. Hopefully.

EYY YO ahem.

So… I’m not really a big fan of audiobooks,

but this one got to me.

I ended up liking it way more than I expected, and this particular scene just hit something in my brain.

So yeah — I decided to redraw it in my own style (or kind of in the style of old cartoons) because this moment from the story absolutely stuck with me.

Funny thing is Fresh would probably be taller than the Boogeyman

Omg that’s awesome bc like Boogey doesn’t really have a specific height. He’s a shapeshifter so he can be any size but he ALWAYS shapeshifts into being bigger than the person he’s talking to. SO WHEN HE MEETS FRESH AND SEES THAT HE’S TALLER, IN HIS HEAD HE’D BE LIKE “aw naw we can’t have that” and would try to shapeshift *just* a couple inches taller but it’s super obvious LMAO. Boogey can be like super competitive about height and size sometimes so having another creature beat him in being big, tall, and scary is always an entertaining thing to see.

It's a bit awkward that I've become more often the one asking something from your characters or from you, but--

if the boogeyman met a creature/s similar to him (be it another boogeyman or something similar) he would consider himself cooler, wouldn't he?

How would he react on Fey? (my good kind big guy who can be really scary some bad people in case of danger) like hmmm

It would be interesting to see

**IF** Boogey met another creature similar to him (like you said another Boogeyman/Boogeyperson) he probably would try to make himself the more cooler/experienced Boogeyman but he’d also be very very fascinated at the sight of meeting a creature similar to him. I’d go into further detail but……… Wurmwood spoilers……

If Boogey met Fey…… given from what I’ve read from the characters sheets…. He’d probably react the same way as before given how Fey is a shapeshifter. Very fascinated by his pure existence. Since Fey seems to be on the more calm and collected side, I wouldn’t be surprised if Boogey would attempt to get on his bad side just for the sake of curiosity and fucking around and finding out. And since Fey is a guy who scares bad people, Boogey would most likely take it as a competition or a challenge. Who can startle and scare the most people?! Lol

Hazel would very much NOT appreciate people falling head over heels for Boogey and would be very confused on why people would flirt with him in the first place.

Boogey isn’t really a fan of flirting the usual lovey-dovey way BUT if it’s in the fashion of violence and dark humor: HE’S MORE THAN DOWN. But in terms of long-lasting relationships/romance… he doesn’t think he’s up for that :)
