Bread Pudding: (internally panicking) Okay, you just kissed. Breathe. It’s not a big deal. But the question is… Does she want something serious with me? Or was it just a spur of the moment thing? It probably was, why would she actually like me anyways? She’s amazing and could do so much better than me. What do I tell her now?
Lime Chiffon: (internally) LET’S GOOOOO-!!
Testing variations on a new recipe—it’s a multigrain sourdough I’m calling “Zesty Cranberry” but that doesn’t adequately describe it— loaded with sweet cranberries, aromatic lime (lots of finely minced peel, the winning recipe also has some of the fruit), plus rich and nutty toasted black sesame. Coming out of the oven it smells amazing, somewhere between the most deeply golden toasted wheat and key lime pie.
