After many challenges, finally on a damp late December Saturday we managed to install my #limecrete #castlime #sculpture #gilt #squash with help of the technician, I was so pleased. Although it has been a while due to working full time in a new job that I have had the time to post this, I am very happy that this gilt #illuminated piece was chosen to go on St Peters of Hungate #hungatechurchofart #Norwich for the #edibleeast project #Arttrail. I was experimenting with NHL. 5 lime mix for casting instead of concrete mix to lower the #co2 #carbonfootprint of #artistic practice in casting methods. I have also drawn upon my skills from the days when I was a restorer and gilder to produce this piece. The eroded/scouped out center of the piece shows the vital squash #seeds which link to the precious seed bank of the #johninnescentre. The materials and concepts of this piece are my response to the project from my work using this #slowart method of #making... #nuaalumni https://www.instagram.com/p/CYyxnFyhkBS/?utm_medium=tumblr
