This is my nameless character for now, a very vulgar and pessimistic Rabbit Man. I'm gonna draw some more of him over this month as I do some thumbnails for next months challenge. This is prolly the most work I have put into a piece in awhile. Designs By Lime #199 Ink practicing for Inktober Howdy all, been busy with life and such, how are you? =) So I just got the official list for Inktober this year and I'm hella stoked to have a 2nd year under my belt of completion. However I'm feeling real...shaky on my inking. I mean,I get that the point of Inktober is to improve your inking right? But getting an early start on daily practice till the BIG EVENT can't hurt either. So my plan is to just do a bunch of daily studies, some photo refs, some drawings from life, and just...teach myself how to render better in ink. I wanna teach myself how to have a cleaner approach to inking, and I wanna build more confidence in knowing how I wanna create good contrast of lights and darks. Improve my understanding of crosshatching, and draw sexy bitches...lot's of sexy bitches =P. I love women, please don't take offense =). Designs By Lime #198 Monday Melanin...(on a Friday =P) Howdy how my Limes =) Okay so wow, this has been a hectic kinda week for me. I didn't have internet all week due to some unforseen financial woes, hence the late postings lol. I'm getting back on my feet though, I'm opening up commission to do some dope paintings for anyone who wants to give me a shot. I recently got my hands on some new art products, the Faber Castile Watercolor Color Markers. I picked up some skin tone colors to test out, for the longest time painting skin tones has always baffled me. I just could NOT see how to make the skin work on watercolors with out it looking like a blotchy, uneven MESS. Maybe it was my impatience with the medium of watercolors...but these markers have CHANGED MY LIFE MY GUY. Every time I look at it, I fall in love all over again. I've reached a new level, and I'm fired up to make more.
