Hi friends, I finished a silly little painting of Urashima Kotetsu riding on the back of his turtle-familiar Kamekichi. They're searching for shooting stars and look at all the planets out there! I should probably not say that, but I actually intended to make it all pastel and fluffy sugary, but since I was using Inktense, the colours turned out to be a lot more vibrant and now you have this... Oh well it's alright, I can make an alternative version where also Midare Toushirou is on the picture. And at that point I better make it pastel as intended x'D
My first painting of 2026 in progress
My Ancient + Trinket piece for August Adventures. I wanted to contiuned the little story I started with my Gardener Trainer. However, I have been in a rut the pass week when it came to getting any artwork done. My Chandelure was my only sucess last week and that was after three tries at it! However, finally got out of it with doing a small illustration of Raphtalia and Rifana from my crossover fanfic, Recourse of the Otherworldly Trainer, looking over trinkets they found in the Cobalt Coastlands in ancient Hisui. Kinda of a spoiler for my fanfic as cutrrent about to get to the Crimson Mirelands in the story. The piece was done with my fountain pen and inktense pencils.
I used Inktense pencils then water to blend them. It’s drying now. After it’s dry, I’ll add the hot fox crystal bubbles. I’m almost finished!!
This was a technique that is new to me. I think it turned out pretty well. My daughter did the original drawing. I translated it into a quilt.
To all the LWJ simps out there-
[ID: An ink and watercolour pencil drawing of an eye that has a circle with the flag of Palestine in place of the pupil and the iris. The eye looks directly at the viewer, and under it there are three red teardrops, like it's crying blood. End ID]
In the Party Field a beautiful young sapling leaped up: it had silver bark and long leaves and burst into golden flowers in April. It was indeed a mallorn, and it was the wonder of the neighbourhood. In after years, as it grew in grace and beauty, it was known far and wide and people would come long journeys to see it: the only mallorn west of the Mountains and east of the Sea, and one of the finest in the world.
