SOMEONE PLS WRITE A FIC BASED ON THIS GEM OF A VIDEO
Here’s a little snippy snip for the @f1videogamesfest hosted by the lovely @vroomvroombeepboop that’s due 4 MONTHS FROM NOW AAAAAAAAAA
It’s not very long as I’m currently working on something else, but it’s a start at least.
A sword? In the middle of an empty temple?
Arvid has heard tales related to this, of legends like King Arthur who would pull this sacred weapon out from a stone or an anvil or was given to him by the Lady of the Lake, depending on the version, to test his great strength and power as the rightful new ruler of the kingdom of Camelot. The mighty Excalibur. Or Calibre. Again, depending on the version. Maybe the same thing applied here.
Arvid hopped down from George’s shoulders for a closer inspection. Then, realisation hit him. “Oh my! It’s the Master Sword!” he gasped in awe. “The great holy sword that may hold the key to defeating Ganon. Oh, this is wonderful!”
George glared at him, unenthused. “Really? That thing?”
Arvid nodded vigorously, beaming wildly. “Yes! It is the most powerful sword in all of Hyrule. I can’t believe we found it! Thee sword of legend!”
“Well, if you’re so gung-ho about it, why don’t you pull it out?”
Arvid’s smile disappeared instantly as he turned to face George. “Me? But I’m not strong enough. Only the greatest warrior in all of Hyrule can pull it out. One of good heart, faith and loyalty to Princess Doriane and the kingdom. Me, I’m just a simple, humble guide. A navigator, if you will.”
George blinked. “You’ve got arms, haven’t you? You just need to put your back into it.”
“I already told you, I can’t pull it out.”
George narrowed his eyes with a smirk. “You’re scared of Ganon, that’s what it is.”
“No, I’m not! I genuinely can’t do it! Look, I’ll show you.” Arvid flew up onto the plinth, grabbed the hilt as tightly as he could, and used all of his strength to try and yank the blade out. Try as he might though, the sword stayed firmly wedged in the ground. “See?” he puffed as he realigned his back.
George scoffed. “Come on. It’s not that bad, surely.” He barged his way past to stand parallel to the plinth, eyeing the weapon intently. “I mean, how difficult can it really be?” He wrapped his fingers around the hilt, and with a bit of momentum, he gave it a good heave. A sudden scraping sound was heard, like metal rubbing against metal. All of a sudden, the gap in the floor where the blade sat started to glow a bright yellow.
George could barely see what was happening. A dizzying feeling came over him. “Why… do I feel… so…?”
i never lose babyyyyy i always win
Jolyon Palmer Who have you rated the most in F2 this year? Juan Pablo, your son Seb in it as well, of course.
Juan Pablo Montoya Yeah, I'll tell you, I think Luke has been quite good. From consistency, I think Browning has done a really good job. He hasn't shined out of control, but he's one of those guys that is there every week. What I mean is, it's tough because Fornaroli did an amazing job, but it's the same car that Bortoleto won. They're known to have the best car, so when you're in that team, you're kind of, you have to win. So, I think Browning, like even talking to my kid, he says, oh my God, you got to say Browning's done an amazing job. And I think he has, being a rookie season and everything.
