-discovers my laptop doesn’t have any line in or even microphone input, which i now need! -neither my other laptop, or old but functional laptop -my working desktop has, but it has audio issues and i need quality -another desktop that I didn’t think was working, can actually boot to ubuntu through USB -this has taken approx. an hour so far, now spend 2 hours figuring out how to record in ubuntu and testing and preparing, this computer actually has less audio issues -computer has other, weird issues and is very slow, and right when im close to finish testing, it freezes -i go back to first laptop and figure out how to configure the headphone jack to work as line in

correct way to write to pipe line by line in Python

How can I write to stdout from Python and feed it simultaneously (via a Unix pipe) to another program? For example if you have

# write file line by line with open("myfile") as f: for line in f: print line.strip()

But you’d like that to go line by line to another program, e.g. | wc -l so that it outputs the lines in myfile. How can that be done? thanks.
