Just finished re-reading all the books again and they've just held up so well. Tina is such a selfless friends I can't remember her ever having bad intentions. Also what do you think of the portrayal (or lack of portrayal) of Perin and Ling Su's relationship in the original books?

tina is such a sweetheart she deserves everything!!!

honestly im okay with it!! they weren’t necessarily major characters and i feel like the relationship was addressed enough that it made sense within the context of how much mia talked about them! especially considering this was a young adult series in the early 2000s... not sure how well an interracial lesbian relationship would have gone over with her publishers if it was mentioned much more. 

although i will forever and always be a stan of that one time in “sweet sixteen princess” where mia is like “awe lilly with jp, tina with boris, and... ling su and perin???? i’ll think about that later” like damn mia what’s there to think about??? they’re together!!!! mia they’re lesbians!!!
