i see you scheduling a sbi premiere and im already crying
👀
Oh baby, the inbox is serving dinner tonight- and it's multiple courses of memes
Oh boy. Please give Moon a hug. Oh man.
At least Techno helps him calm down though. That’s good. It nice and we can start recovery.
actually, if philza happens to stumble upon dilfza content, thats his fault and his fault only, he was looking for it
it absolutely is, im glad we agree. but also he might not be looking at it considering how commonly i see dilfza posts in phil’s tag
im not the anon but *please* keep going
okay okay okay so hear me out
(for anyone confused, here’s part 1)
The entire family has implemented a schedule for the important parts of the day to give their kid some stability
For example: all meals happen at the same time each day, the order they do things before bed is the same, the time they go to bed is the same, etc
Not all of the day is structured so they don’t feel trapped within a cycle, but it’s enough to give them a sense of comfort
Sophie struggled the most with following it because her sleep schedule is so erratic, but over time the repetition came to help both her and the kid
it’s also fun because the kid can look at the clock and go !! dad always makes dinner right now, so then they can go and see what Fitz is doing in the kitchen and maybe even help
This kid loves the aesthetic of capes
But.....the vast majority of elven capes feel soooo greasy for some reason, and it’s not that they can’t wear them, it’s just ...no one wants to wear something that feels greasy
Like you know those certain fabrics that always feel kinda oily no matter how much you wash them? They feel like that
So Biana and Flori worked together with the kid to find fabrics that didn’t feel icky and then made custom capes so they could get the aesthetic without the ick texture
While we’re on the topic of clothes, the kid isn’t great at picking weather appropriate things either
It’s not that they don’t feel the cold or are immune to heat, it just doesn’t take priority in their mind and they end up wearing shorts when it’s 30 degrees Fahrenheit (-1 degrees Celsius) (what no I totally haven’t ever done that multiple times and only realized it much later /s)
So they set up a system, their closet is divided into cold, neutral, and hot. That way their parents can tell them which section to pick from and they can still chose their outfit, but their parents know it will be weather appropriate
A lot of their meltdowns are more internal (like shutting down, spacing out, getting really anxious, going on autopilot), which means you wouldn’t really notice
Neither Sophie, Keefe, nor Fitz picked up on those ones (as opposed to the louder more tantrum like meltdowns) until one day it seemed like their kid was just kinda daydreaming and Keefe jokingly nudged them to ask what they were thinking about and instead got slammed with a wave of anxiety so intense he curled over gasping
Suffice to say Sophie and Fitz were very worried
I mean I can’t blame them. your partner who can feel emotions briefly touches your kid and is now curled over struggling to breath? Definitely worry worthy
Oh and also because I just need to talk about this somewhere
Grady and Edaline absolutely a d o r e this kid
So much. They love to spend time with the kid, but usually they go to the kid and not the other way around.
A bunch of uncontrolled animals making a shit-load of noise all the time? I can already feel the sensory overload.
The kid loves to sit on Grady’s shoulders and he is all too happy to oblige
Edaline likes to play with the kids hair, and it’s a pleasant sensation for the kid that actually helps ground them, so it’s a win win situation
Everyone enjoys a lot of time with the kid—and most of it is in silence
The kid isn’t completely nonverbal, but it’s just the idea of breaking silence is very uncomfy and they’d prefer to just let it be
This is great when it comes to Tam especially. They have the best cuddle time, because there’s just no need for words and he subconsciously brings this darkness with him everywhere that the kids finds so soothing (cause like I mentioned in the other post, sunlight be ouch)
Once Sophie walked in on them both asleep on the floor, Tam on his back and the kid curled up on top of him in a blanket
It’s one of her most precious memories
Im now realizing how much I’ve written and I’ll stop here for now but just know that there is absolutely no end in sight in my mind
This idea has taken root and it is s p r e a d i n g and I don’t think it’s gonna stop
I will be thinking about this still so if you want more just let me know because I have more /g
